Our second visit in 2 years on a weekend visit from Essex - just as good second time! Locket atmosphere. Perfect staff. Brilliant, unusual food. Great! We'll be back again.
We were four and had a very interesting and delicious meal in elegant surroundings. There was a good choice of vegetarian dishes as well as meat and fish. An extensive wine list should suit most people. We all enjoyed the medium bodied red, an Australian Shiraz. Desserts were a bit pricey but overall the great food, wine and ambience were... More
Had a lovely birthday lunch here today. Food and atmosphere fantastic. They even did a surprise birthday plate with cakes and a candle. Would recommend hugely, get yourself down there. Will be revisiting sometime soon.
Our first visit We loved its location Fine old building in the middle of the Lace Market.Lively area but better for that.Interior decor pleasing and atmospheric.Full on a Wednesday night and a young crowd. The food was good and the steaks first class. The wine list is very good and at a fair price. Liked the short menu as long as... More
Ate here several times during business trips and each time was impressed by the beautiful food. Somebody said they thought it was a bit pretentious - I thought the opposite. It's selling British produce cooked with precision and style in comfortable and shabby chic surroundings. We (all 3 of us) thought the place was perfect, not too expensive, but up-market... More
Enjoyed a very pleasant meal at The Larder recently with my wife prior to a trip to the cinema. Service was very friendly and efficient (....but then it should be early in the evening when it's not too busy). Pleasant surroundings, upstairs above street level. Excellent starters. The main element of both our main courses was good - a very... More
Firstly, make sure you know it's on the first floor - we walked past twice! Overall a really excellent place. Beautiful decor (think high ceilings, chandeliers & shabby chic). The menu is short but we like that. The menu descriptions could have been a little more forthcoming and we had to ask about a few things but the waitress was... More
Ate here on Saturday night after hearing a lot about restaurant. Had a nice table by window and staff were very welcoming. The food was just ok. I think the restaurant is trying to be something it's not. Extravagant menu descriptions but dishes don't live up to the reality. Real shame as it could be a really nice relaxed restaurant... More
Fantastic venue. Beautiful. Great attention to detail. Menu was also very good. Would have loved to tried a lot of it. However we settled on afternoon tea. Which I feel was a little over priced. A choice of sandwich would have been a good idea, instead of a set you will have these four fillings, which included meat. I do... More
Visited the restaurant on a Tuesday evening for my birthday took all the family including 2 children. Have to say the building and the surroundings are fabulous, but the service was amateurish. The menus for both the set meals and the a la carte were bland, there was not enough food and children are not catered for at all. (... More
