Saturday evening group meal menu selection offered a range of dishes, well presented and good portion sizes. Lovely setting and slightly unusual. All 12 members of group enjoyed their meals, but overall thought the prices a touch expensive for what we had.

I took my friend here for her birthday today for Afternoon Tea. We chose the option with prosecco which cost £18.95 per person. I was extremely disappointed! The waitress left us for 15 minutes before coming to ask which tea we would like - an obscenely long time considering there were only 2 other tables filled in the restaurant and... More

This is one of the most beautiful little places I've ever had dinner. Possibly the best steak I've ever eaten and the friendliest waitresses. No waiting at all and the little taster of bread they bring out for you whilst you wait was just the perfect little something to keep you going. Walnut&fennel bread was gorgeous.

Have been here twice now, first time with a party of ten for a family occasion, second time with a party of 12 for business. On both visits the food and wine was exemplary and despite the large groups all dishes arrived together and promptly. The service was superb on the first occasion and fractionally less so on the second,... More

Was rather apprehensive about eating on my own but the Larder had a welcoming feel and the service and choice of food was excellent. Had the haggis and venison bon bons with artichoke crisps which was the best thing I've had in the last 6 months and was very reasonable at £5.75. Then had the Picanha rare (£19.50) which was... I went for lunch with 3 close friends on Saturday and we chose from the £15.95 for 2 courses/£17.95 to include desert menu. The description of the ingredients didn't really explain what the plate was like. For example, my starter of deep fried and breaded monkfish cheeks came with caramelised sweet red peppers and a puree of chickpeas, which was very... More

Excellent presentation of the plates served A lot of variety on the menu, despite only having half a dozen or so options per course. Nice, clean and tidy with a 'rustic edge'. Over looking Goose Gate below, floor to ceiling glass lovely and romantic as we were given a window seat.

Been here twice now and recommended friends to attend and it can not be faulted. Service is exceptional as is the food. Had a steak both time and loved it. I would 100% recommend this restaurant for any occasion!

as a party of four we were looking forward to afternoon tea at the larder restuarant what a disappointment. Four very small finger sandwiches per person four small cookies four very small fairy cakes four flat brownies four pieces of ginger cake and two mini scones each with a glass of prosecco wine how do they justify the cost (...
