Good food bit pricey

We booked the larder to celebrate our son's birthday on recommendation. As we were not familiar with nottingham we found it difficult to find and walked past it several times as we were looking for a ground level restaraunt, when in fact it is up a few flights of stairs. Set out in rustic style... read more

We were out for dinner with friends. This was a real find on their part. Lovely food, great wine list, staff with good knowledge of the menu and just the right level of interaction. Would definitely recommend and return.

Just been to The Latder for my fifth birthday it was absolutely wonderful. The food was out of this world. I had the salmon with beetroot starter and my husband had the mackerel both dishes were outstanding. For main I had the Picanha steak which I haven't had before and they cooked to perfection. The desert well what can you... More

We'd been meaning to visit The Larder for sometime & a last minute theatre booking gave us the opportunity to try it out. Booking was only you phone or e-mail but there was a quick response. I ate from the pre-theatre menu, lovely home cured salmon, sea bream with fennel then a delicious (but light) strawberry jelly which we shared.... More

Took my fiancée here for an anniversary meal as this place is pricy but worth it. They have only a handful of things on the menu but loved what we had. They pride themselves on unknown cuts of steak and they certainly deliver. Different types for what you feel like and cooked to perfection. Great place for a special occasion

I took my partner to The Larder for his birthday. It is a bit tricky to find as it is through a doorway above a row of shops. After walking along looking upwards we missed the sign saying where it was! We found it in the end though! There is an interesting and varied menu and I found it difficult... More

Don't get me wrong here, I so wanted this to be 5*, the menus is different yet traditional British / European food and I could happily have chosen pretty much anything off it with great pleasure. But..Waiting staff were very 'nice' but not up to scratch in a place with aspirations like this, they were hard to get hold of,... More
