Took my fiancée here for an anniversary meal as this place is pricy but worth it. They have only a handful of things on the menu but loved what we had. They pride themselves on unknown cuts of steak and they certainly deliver. Different types for what you feel like and cooked to perfection. Great place for a special occasion

I took my partner to The Larder for his birthday. It is a bit tricky to find as it is through a doorway above a row of shops. After walking along looking upwards we missed the sign saying where it was! We found it in the end though! There is an interesting and varied menu and I found it difficult... More

Don't get me wrong here, I so wanted this to be 5*, the menus is different yet traditional British / European food and I could happily have chosen pretty much anything off it with great pleasure. But..Waiting staff were very 'nice' but not up to scratch in a place with aspirations like this, they were hard to get hold of,... More

Decided to have some traditional British fare and opted for this restaurant. We had the 3 course pre theatre menu and enjoyed it. I preferred the fish to the lamb but the starters didn't amaze me. We found the chocolate dessert to be too overwhelming to finish. Special menu changes daily. Would return to try it again.

I visited for a birthday on a Saturday night and was very impressed. I was able to make reservations in the week, on the night we were shown straight to a table and received good service. This is only a medium sized venue, but well staffed and has a relaxed atmosphere. As in other reviews be wary of large groups,... More

..but everything else was great too. The Earl Grey panacotta was one of the best puddings I have ever had. Nice ambience, especially once it was dark. Good service. Yummy gin. If I had to suggest anything it would slightly firmer chairs but that's being picky. A proper treat.
