Always great

Only ate in twice and it was great. Normally get take away which you have to fetch as they don't do delivery. It's always worth the effort though. Love the little extras they put in the bag!

Two of us went for a meal recently, comprising 2 Madras, 2 Hot Meat Starters, both had very tough unflavoured lamb served by a very surly waiter and were extremely over priced. We've had far better for less money elsewhere and won't be going again.

We have been visiting Sagaar for over 5 years now. What a fantastic restaurant! We are never disappointed, the quality (and portion size) is always five stars! The staff are all extremely friendly and attentive and they will always try to find you a table, even on the busiest of nights! We recommend the chicken balti and tandoori lamb, just... More

We have been coming here for over 27 years ..they are still here and we are still supporting them. And they deserve it. Some of the recent rude comments such as plates at jaunty angles (?) and rude waiters are simply not true. It's the customers that are often very rude..I've witnessed them. The waiters are not sullen and like... More

Never eaten in but for takeaway, excellent. Really tasty curries, especially the baltis (amazing whole cloves of sweet garlic). And you get a surprise present with your order, anything from a pineapple to a box of chocolates. They're friendly and orders are always ready pretty quickly. Collection only though.

What a pity. The food is OK, but the service is bordering on rude. It isn't unreasonable to ask that plates are put down on the table rather than at a jaunty angle leaning on other dishes and that waiters don't reach across from the left to put down a dish on the right of a female customer. Not a... More

As I approached it looked small and nice. I entered to a worm welcome. As we sat Down they came to use very fast, we ordered and after about 20-30 minutes the food came it lacked presentation but tasted very nice. Over all saagars food was nice and I would recommend it

We ate here on Saturday night, spur of the moment decision. We had a lovely meal and would definitely recommend. We even took a doggy bag home because we didn't want to waste the delicious food!

It was a sudden decision to go to Saagar this evening and I am pleased to say we were not disappointed. It was a very pleasantly relaxing meal. The food was good and tasty, the service was friendly and efficient. There was an offer to have a free starter when you ordered a main course and we were offered a... More

We have visted Saagar on about half a dozen occasions, but have found our experience gradually less and less enjoyable. A constant throughout has been the freezing temperatures - on our last visit I had to keep my overcoat on, and I'm someone who normally PREFERS lower temperatures, especially when dining. The decor is old fashioned and the whole place... More
