The Victorian history remains, and this, coupled with locally reared meats and locally-sourced produce means it's a place which regulars appreciate. The well-priced set menus also send diners home with full bellies and full wallets. My personal favourite, excellent ambience attained withough any of the prentence asociated with some of Nottingam's trendy venues. Good food, an excellent menu and really top notch staff - it's all good, and Friday nights are particularly good with live music and a lively atmosphere. more

On the cheap and cheerful side, this is a reasonable restaurant, bang in the centre of Hockley, with a decent bar upstairs (not that Hockley is short of bars). more
