My husband & I visited Tom Brown's for the first time as a treat. We expected great things from our friends recommendations & travelled all the way from Doncaster on public transport (what a farce!) to sample it's delights! On arrival we were greeted at the bar & shown to a nice table. We chose from the early bird menu... More

I have been to Tom Brown's twice now and find it less of just going out for dinner, but more of a fine dining experience. On both occasions there has been some amazing live music and very friendly staff (attentive but not intrusive), which has perfectly complimented the fantastic food. It is difficult to believe that it is only ranked... More

I have eaten at Tom Brown's several times and it is always good. The whole operation works well; staff are plentiful and all in tune. We chose to eat here last Saturday with a visiting friend when 4 of us took up the "Early Bird" offer which is easy to understand and uses the main menu. All the dishes were... More

I visited this restaurant with a friend. The staff are really helpful and attentive. They are quick to look after you in an informal way, which is really nice. The decor is interesting. It does feel slightly dated as it's got that noughties dining 'experience' vibe going. . . Which makes you think 'ladies that lunch' ( think grey tones... More

Took our employees here for our annual christmas lunch on Saturday 6th December after having heard good things about the place. We had a couple of people with special dietary needs which were clarified via email prior. The place is beautiful. The food was Fabulous! The staff couldn't do enough. We had a slight issue with a food order, this... More

As you can see from the title of this review I am a regular visitor to Tom Browns and I still think it's undoubtedly the best restaurant in Nottingham. The variation of food, the competitive pricing of the early bird, the quality of the food, the service and the atmosphere are all wonderful. I have also been to and also... More

We went for a lunch the starter soup was tepid the bread was actually warmer ! My two sons chose the steak which was actually good however my husband and my two friends chose the poached Turkey which bizarrely was stringy and fatty lukewarm and tasteless however the most shocking was £9.30 for a glass of wine ! Extremely expensive... More

Big fan of Tom Brown's, great location, beautiful insides and good food. Last couple of times I've been though and just don't think it's value for money. Similar price point to world service but there wins for me everytime. Nice rural spot tho!

Fell upon this gem looking for lunch on the way home from holiday and have been back on many occasions . It is quite a trip for us from our home but is always worth the journey. The food is excellent and the menu changes so that seasonal produce is used for freshness and to deliver a range which never... More
