Vegetarian Cafe

Good cafe food, vegetarian, good atmosphere, open through day and some very late nights for clubbers. Negatives; no parking, not wheelchair accessible as is down an alley and on the first floor, the toilet is very small and a bit basic, eat before you go as the service can be very slow.

My omnivore husband and myself went to Nottingham the other day and decided to go to the Alley Cafe Bar for lunch. The cafe is a really nice cozy place, with such friendly staff and a great menu. I had vegan 'cheese' on garlic bread, a lovely smoothie and chocolate torte for afters. As someone who usually has a limited... More

Hadn't considered going here before for a family meal with 16, 13, 10 year olds. Very welcoming staff. we had a variety of dishes and bill came to 52 pounds for 5 mains, 3 desserts and drinks.I consider this good value. tempura veg (on special) was our favorite

Great food, just delicious! "Pizza" is disappointing though.. cheese and toppings on a torilla wrap was a bit cheeky.. especially for £7, so avoid the pizza! Everything else is delicious though. I've had a few of the sandwiches, couple of the burgers and the burrito; all were great! They do a lunch deal from 3-5; drink and sandwich for £5?... More

The food was lovely good vegan and vegetarian meals. The drinks menu was well varied the caramel shake was delicious. The staff were very friendly and understanding. The red cabbage and facon sprouts were particularly nice. A real treat.

Chilled out atmosphere & delicious food with plenty going on - what's not to love? Do try the English wine - it's great.

Funky atmosphere, warmly decorated. Really lovely veggie meals and very indulgent cakes. It is probably the only place in Nottingham you can sit and eat a vegetable based meal while a dj mixes up decks. Only thing that would improve this place is if they did meals with meat in (but that's just me)

Well with a clientele who dress like either Siouxie & The Banshees or Terry & June this complete gem of a cafe sits up an alley and then up some stairs. It has that vegetarian restaurant air about it....a little weary as regards the fittings but the service was efficient and enthusiastic and the menu varied. My wife plumped for... More

For all vegetarians and vegans out there, the alley cafe is the perfect place for you. Creative vegetarian and vegan food, along with fair trade and organic teas, coffees, soft drinks and beer in a truly chilled environment make the alley cafe special. I have been multiple times and I have never been disappointed with the food or with the... More

I've been to the Alley cafe several times both with a vegan sister and meat eating friends and I've never been disappointed . The food and its presentation are excellent, the music, art work ,plants add to the relaxed, cheerful atmosphere.. The staff are friendly and I felt the food was good value for money. Lovely drinks too.
