Visited this place a few times now and literally cannot fault it. I am vegan myself but it's irrelevant! This food would be very high quality to any sort of customer. The service is always very upbeat and polite, no wonder it's always so busy!

We went to the Alley Cafe Bar for our anniversary. My husband had found it whilst looking for a vegetarian restaurant in the area. As the name suggests you access the cafe via an alleyway, through a doorway and then up some stairs. It is quite small and the tables are arranged along the edge of the bar. You order... More

I'm not vegan or even veggie but am happy to have meat-free food. Ordered the stavros sandwich, thought there would be a choice of breads as the menu seemed to indicate there was, but it came automatically on pitta (maybe because it's supposed to be Greek?). Anyway, that's a small matter as it was delicious anyway - falafel, salad, houmous,... More

If you like vegetarian food, or are with a party that wants a really decent vegetarian and vegan menu, Alley Cafe is a wonderful place to go. The tempah burger was every bit as succulent and juicy as any meat burger I have had. Lovely place, great staff, interesting menu and a lovely outdoor area too for balmy nights. Highly... More

Since turning Vegan, this is my new go to place for food. Even as a meat eater I really appreciated this place. My favourites are the burgers & pizzas. They have loads of options for veg & dairy free bits (soya cheese etc). It's in a really nice area but all I will say is that I wish it was... More

Heard lots about this place and finally gave it a go. All food is vegetarian and most is (if not can be made) vegan. Had a hemp burger and was was very tasty. Good patty, really tasty bun and good chips. Really enjoyed it and will go again just wasn't blown away so not 5 stars. They do also sell... More

I went there with my partner. We were waiting relatively long and for quite some time the waiter did not acknowledge us, if he would have done that and told us that it will take a while, it would be alright, but he didn't. Finally, he came to us and we ordered a piece of vegan cake and a soy... More

I visited Alley Cafe for lunch during a weekend stay with a friend from the area! I completely trust her opinion, and it was right as usual! We both had flavoured Lassis to drink, and I opted for the soup and half a sandwich option, being served spring greens soup and the 'Stavros' which included falafel, mint yoghurt and lots... More
