I'm a vegetarian and my family are vegans, so it can be extremely hard to find somewhere that caters for us, and to a high standard. Alley cafe is a delightful gem, I love it! We celebrated my sister's birthday in here and all thoroughly enjoyed the food. We'll be back.

For a large city Nottingham is not blessed with a maze of options for veggies and vegans, the Alley Café registers a small beacon of hope. My wife and I went for lunch . We both had burgers with home made chips and salad and could easily have plumped for anything else on the menu or specials board. We were... More

It's a little hidden, but not far from the main square. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The food is delicious and portions are generous. We had Italian antipasti platter and some tofu balls. Both really nice. Organic cider and lager (Freedom) available. Reasonably priced.

I had no idea this place even existed until we walked passed it and my partner suggested it, so Glad she did. The Alley cafe really is a hidden gem as the food is great as are the smoothies! I had the breakfast and it was lovely and was a good sized, being a meat eater i sometimes worry the... More

Lovely food, lovely people and great atmosphere. The only downside was the prices; more like Costa than a local cafe. We wouldn't have minded paying £21 for a vegan breakfast, a veggie breakfast, two teas and two cakes but it was a bit stingy on the amount in the breakfasts. However, the homemade cakes were amazing and I'll certainly have... More

I have been here a few times and have loved every time, Great food! Friendly Staff! Nice to finally find somewhere that caters good food for vegetarians and vegans. Only thing I don't like is that its such a small place and sometimes there is no seats and we have to leave sad because we don't get to have your... More

My daughter and I,both veggies, sought out this place for a bit of pre-gig tucker. It was a perfect alternative to the pub dinners in and around Nottingham, or the franchise pizza places, or the more expensive restruants. Hidden away down the alley it is easy to miss. Simple food simply served and all the better for it. Yes it... More
