I have now been to both the Hounds Gate and Bridlesmith Walk locations and both are absolutely lovely! On each occasion I have been with friends, we have shared a pot of tea and had a slice of cake each. My friend goes more regularly than me, with working nearby, and I know she has also enjoyed their sandwiches/savoury treats.... More

Oozing chintzy elegance, White Rabbit is a charming tearoom that serves excellent tea, coffee and tasty treats. Ideal for ladies who lunch. Get there early. It can get very busy.

My friend and I found this tearoom by accident! It's completely tucked away down a quaint back alley. The décor is adorable, very vintage even down to the little rabbit salt and pepper shakers on the tables. We had sandwiches and coffees that were delicious and served on pretty floral plates, really felt like we'd stepped back in time. The... More

We visited today (myself, my Mum and my 7 year old son) as a birthday treat for my Mum while spending the day in Nottingham. The lady serving us was polite and friendly and took time to talk to my son about the different cake flavours, much better than the grunt children often get in some places! The food was... More

Nice little café, first visit was lovely - second visit seemed like a totally different chef - would go again but only for a cup of tea

I came across this tea room by chance whilst shopping in Nottingham with my daughter and husband. We saw the sign on the main thoroughfare and were led down an alleyway to this quaint tea room. It is quite small but we were lucky as there were 2 tables free. We ordered tea from the extensive list, I had the... More

We stumbled upon the Houdsgate White Rabbit when visiting Nottingham one Tuesday afternoon. Very nice selection of teas, served in beautiful china and a lovely range of cakes. Worth a visit.

Visited the Houndsgate White Rabbit for a spot of tradional afternoon tea. Nice to see an independant cafe in a sea of bland corporate chain outlets. We had the full afternoon tea, not cheap at £25-00 but the tea was good and the cakes and sandwiches really well done. All arrived on a proper three tier cake stand and the... More

Lovely tea room in town. Christmas present of an afternoon tea for two. We so enjoyed our tea which included a super size pot of earl grey tea with pretty china cups. Choice of bread and sandwich filling. Really delicious sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam and selection of four cakes all served on a china three tier... More

We visited the White Rabbit on Bridesmith Walk for a late lunch one weekday. The waitress was lovely and came and told us all the cake choices. We had some food from the specials board and this came quickly and was delicious. The portions were really reasonable for a quaint little tea house and we were impressed. We were even... More
