Lovely little place

A hidden gem. Lovely drinks and a good selection of cakes and snacks. All served like an old school tea room. It's a shame it's hidden but then that keeps it a great place to go.

Shopping in the city and followed the signs for the white rabbit teahouse unsure of what to expect. We were delighted to find this vintage teahouse which was exactly what we were looking for. It was very small, seating about 15/20 people but nice and cosy. The tea comes in mis-matched bone china and the cakes were extremely moist and... More

A lovely little tea shop with less than a dozen tables, we arrived in time to get a table for the 3 of us during the Saturday lunchtime rush. I had the homemade tomato soup and it was delicous and fulsome with lots of flavour and richness. The tuna sandwich was good as well as the cheese toastie for the... More

Found this little jem what a fantastic place. On arrival tea house full but a very pleasant lady said that a table may be available in 5 to 10 minutes so we sat down outside under cover and out of the wind. Later called to our table ordered drinks and sandwiches coffees arrived fantastic taste ,as we sampled our sandwich... More

Although the team-room is small, it was able to cope with a family of six which included two teen-agers.We only required drinks but we were made to feel most welcome and the service was very good. A wide range a coffee was available and all those we sampled were delicious. The White Rabbit is a little gem in the heart... More

I have enjoyed freshly cooked light meals and home made cakes at both venues, Hounds Gate and Bridlesmith Gate.

I visited the teahouse few times. Its located 5 minutes walk from the Broadmarsh Shopping Complex and next to Subway (Halal). It is a petite blue wooden shop. I love the place. Its homey and cozy. Had a great time with close buddies. Chit chat quietly at a lazy afternoon. I particularly enjoy the scone with Cornish Clotted Cream &... More

Lovely little shop, and I do mean little, reminded me of my great-nan's front room, as it was filled with bits and bobs. But a nice little place all the same.

Popped in today for a cup of tea after finding my usual place rather busy and was taken a back by this quaint little tea room. The tearoom was not in your face vintage it was also very small and cozy. The shop was also decorated smartly and understatedly in Christmas decorations. The staff were attentive and welcoming and worked... More

I visited the White Rabbit on Hounds Gate today with two friends and was really impressed by this fantastic little local business. The Hounds Gate teahouse is vintage in the proper sense, it's very quaint with beautiful vintage China and teapots, flowery tablecloths and soft music in the background. I've also visited the cafe on Bridlesmith Walk which is very... More
