Nice food in the centre of town

This cafe is centrally situated and is in a very pleasant location and I can imagine it is really nice to eat in the garden in warm weather. We visited here October 2015, we had a bacon, Brie and cranberry panini and a coffee each. The food was to a good standard and was good value for money, but it was nothing special. We came as a couple and it is more orientated towards young children and families - it would be better if it stated this more... More

Called in on spec when meeting friends and were not disappointed. Came upon this while walking around and decided to try. 4 of us ordered the soup & sandwich combination and when they arrived they were large helpings and we'll filled .extremely happy with the standard of the food and the value. Will definitely call in again next time we... More

Visited many times before, always good, home cooked food at excellent prices, very friendly staff, today I had a bacon, Brie and cranberry toastie and a very large pot of tea £6.20 which represents excellent value for money. Also child friendly. Keep up the good work.

This is obviously very popular for families with young children (although outside seemed quieter for adults). There were toys to play with for the children so they were well entertained. The menu was excellent, with a good variety of food and the children's menu had a large choice of quality options. Would certainly go back.

First impressions were great - loved the signage. It was very sunny so we sat outside in a nice secluded garden. The waitress was really nice and brought us cushions :-) We had lunch and the food was great, brought out quickly. Cakes were especially good - I had a Victoria sponge with white chocolate and raspberries. Would definitely come... More

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime , the grounds and interior are attractive and there were seats available inside and in the garden area. Prices were very good and the food was nice. Service was very friendly and quick. Our drinks and food were with us within just a few minutes of ordering

Good coffee reasonably priced. Very clean and friendly young staff. Spotlessly clean toilets. Outside seating in good weather. Very handy for car park.

We have visited this cafe on a regular basis and have always been pleased with the service, quality of food/drinks and the atmosphere. On this occasion I was bitterly disappointed with the sandwich I was provided with and the attitude of the waitress. I ordered a chicken and bacon sandwich. When it came I noticed it was sliced chicken roll... More

Situated down from Hexham Goal just up from the main Wentworth car park. Stopped by for a lunch to find a good selection of light bites and more substantial meals reasonably priced. Had a pot of tea with a brie and cranberry toastie - something different - which was well presented with a side salad. Friendly & efficient staff. We... More
