Quaint and good value

Lovely little pub that seems like a step back in time(in a good way) amazing value freshly cut sandwiches and its own beers brewed locally.A great little spot for lunch after walking the lovely nearby countryside. You can see into the kitchen where the owner cooks the food herself.

I have been a customer of the Dipton Mill for over 20 years. It is in a beautiful location in Hexhamshire - to the south of Hexham. It takes a little finding. It is quite small;charming and compact. It is fitted out with traditional pub ornaments, and countless personal items belonging to the owners. The seating is finished in red... More

We were doing a walk from Corbridge to Hexham which in itself was glorious , but the icing on the cake on a scorching July afternoon was to walk down the valley to the Dipton Mill Inn. The location is a real delight. A gorgeous, quiet, peaceful location at the bottom of a thickly wooded valley on a river. The... More

We have visited the Dipton Mill Inn on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Not it certainly isn't glamorous or polished, no interior designers has swept through recently with the farrow & ball touch but it's what an old fashioned country pub should be like. Yes perhaps it could be updated here and there but it's nice to find... More

Had a great meal tonight - proper home cooked food, in an authentic rural pub topped off with good company!

We went with friends and the pub was shabby, clearly in need of a spring cleaning. The chairs appear to have been grabbed when the local kindergarten was closed. The tables entertained with whom loves whom in what remained of the varnish. Like another revue I asked for "Chips" and received a curt "We dont do Chips, its boiled veg."... More

This is a small pub in a nice setting, though you need a car to get there which is a shame as they have some nice local real ales to try. Sadly, the food experience doesn’t get quite such a good report. The pub was busy but most people had finished eating when 9 of us went in for Sunday... More

A beautiful Spring day to sally forth to Dipton Mill to enjoy lunch. I did book in advance as it is not a large establishment and we had a table for five in a sunny window. The food is freshly prepared which means a short wait. There is a very good choice of hearty meals or sandwiches to choose from.... More

We went for another lunchtime treat, and we located it no problem at all this time.We had tried on a previous occasion to find this pub WITHOUT a sat nav and gave up....I would recommend the use of a Sat Nav or Google Maps maybe if you are unsure where this Inn is,because it is a little off the beaten track...
