Always looking for a quiet pub with foods and a sunny beer garden. Have driven past the saracens head for years and never driven in.... what a mistake. It's now my favourite summer pub and it can't wait to try the food. Worth a trip.

Thought I would share a fantastic experience I had yesterday at the Saracens Head. Impromptu Sunday lunch turned into the very best. Ordered pink lamb and it came pure and pink, with all the requested trimmings; Yorkshire pub, crackling and stuffing. All meats locally sourced and served by happy smiley staff. So if you are looking for a lovely relaxed... More

This was a recommendation as we are staying in Whilton Marina and it was a perfect spot! 2 mins down the road and the food was fabulous! The roast beef was perfect and all the veg etc just spot on! A lovely lunch in a pub with a great atmosphere and the staff were all lovely! Definitely worth a visit!

Picked this little gem from a choice of 3 on trip advisor. Well worth the 30min drive. Really friendly staff ( especially lady wearing black sparkly top serving at the bar... Possibly land lady). Food delicious, plenty of it . Great service. Lucky residents to have such a fab local.

We had an evening meal with a group of friends and felt welcomed. The menu had some unexpected choices including boiled egg in breadcrumbs, as well as some pub style regulars. We all made different choices and every meal was enjoyed. We will come again.

I've never contributed to tripadvisor before so I must be feeling strongly to take the trouble ! As a family we have had two really enjoyable midweek evenings here in the last couple of weeks. We sat outside the pub and on both occasions had two really good meals. A very original menu and cooked with obviously a lot of... More

Really great vegetarian food by someone who understands we like to eat well ( not just cheese!). This was a rare occasion where I didn't feel that I could've cooked something better / more healthy at home. Very friendly and good value, I only wish it was closer to home!

We had checked the reviews for a family celebration and thought this was worth a try. We were not disappointed. The have a wide "pub" menu but mains are served in full and half sizes which suited some of our older diners. Good beers and helpful staff all served in a pleasant environment. Just one recommendation, please change the disinfectant... More

I struggle to understand what some people expect from their visits when I read some reviews. We recently moved back to Northampton and having had a really great local we were keen to find pubs that had atmosphere, character, friendliness, great home cooked food and a good range of beers served properly. We had heard about The Saracens and popped... More
