Situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside 2 miles from Althorp House, the ancestral home of Diana, Princess of Wales. A traditional village inn with character and charm. We are a privately owned and run free house with a selection of well kept real ales and lagers plus an extensive wine list. Runners-up in the Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards 2009. A great place to spend a lunchtime or evening.

Great Food and Service

We have been to the Saracens Head Restaurant a few times now and have thoroughly enjoyed our experiences. The food and service are very good indeed. Love the presentation.

It's a really attractive pub (full of dogs!) that we'd heard was good, perfectly placed for a group of nine of us to 'meet in the middle'. Very impressed with the quality of the food and the cheery service. Will certainly go back.

Two of us had a poor lunch, the quality of the food was really not up to scratch, after reading so many good reviews!! It was a cold winters day and the place has a frosty feel about it and to be quite honest it is shabby and could do with a makeover or to start with a quick lick... More

This is a Quiet country pub with really good food. Staff were very helpful too. Although it was very quiet they did not have everything on the menu so I couldn't be certain how this pub would be under pressure. I will however return to this establishment at a weekend or a busier night and rate it again

Travelling back to Leicestershire from Heathrow, we telephoned late Sunday morning to see if four of us could be received for lunch. No problem - which is probably the motto of the Saracens Head. Warm welcome, as our previous visit, especially from the labrador which escorted us from the car park and a great Sunday lunch. Huge portions, lovely veggies,... More

We travelled as a family to meet near to my mother's house. I booked via Hannah to get a time to suit the family. Whilst we had looked at the website and trip advisor I have to say the reality is even better. There was a good crowd of people eating; staff were polite and attentive; lovely decorations; fantastic service... More

Delicious Sunday roast with pink beef and all the trimmings followed by some quality fruit puddings. A quiet village, just right for a short stroll after before travelling on. Well worth hunting out. Tempted to stay next time.

A cosy pub which welcomed our Labrador, and although the restaurant was booked, we had a lovely meal in the pub.

We visited the Saracens Head today after one of our party had read a review in a National newspaper. Having read the last few tripadvisor reviews we were slightly concerned but went ahead with our booking anyway. We arrived and were greeted by the most wonderful, quaint pub with very friendly and organized staff. Our food arrived shortly after we... More
