Recently called in for some lunch, it was a very hot day and one of the ladies very kindly brought us a jug of water and glasses. Everyone who walked in was made to feel welcome. We only had cheese on toast but tasty, suggestion to add a small side salad as plate looked a bit bare. Great to find... More

Great quality. Fantastic specials. Lovely service by enthusiastic and passionate owners. Child friendly too. Fairly small space, but they always try and accommodate you.

Have come here a couple times but walk past it all the time on the way to work, it is always busy and you are lucky if you can get a seat at peak times which is always a good sign. Staff are all friendly & our orders were taken soon after sitting down. I had a jacket potato for... More

A group of us meet here fairly regularly either for lunch or tea. There is a good choice for either including homemade cakes and scones. The staff are friendly and happy to chat. Recommend booking at busy times of the day.

I come here fairly regularly in my work lunch time and have never been disappointed. This place is always very busy and is wise to reserve a table, even if it is just for one or two of you! The service is tip top, the food is super delicious and I never have to wait long. The food is always... More

I've been here many times, leaf tea in real tea pots, I have never had anything that hasn't been tasty. It does get busy at lunch times so book if you don't want to risk not getting in. I always leave here feeling like a valued customer. It's like having the WI run your local café - homely, tasty and... More

My friend and I visited here one morning for coffee. I usually visit in the afternoon. We ordered Welsh rarebit which was very good. However, the dining room soon filled up with smoke from burnt toast and upon further inspection there was no way of opening a window and no means of ventilation. Customers began to comment on the burned... More

We had a lovely lunch in here on Wednesday, food was lovely, (Ham and Cheese Croissant and fish finger sandwich) and the tea is fabulous, a little pot with tea leaves, bliss!! But, you have to feel happy with peoples bottoms in your face whilst you are eating when they bend over to get their bags, ties laces etc, Keep... More

Chris and Wendy made us feel very welcome. Proper tea leaves in a proper tea pot. Fantastic. Even said I could wait for my wife while she went for a job interview and did not ahve to buy anything. Great place and will certainly be back. Have yourself a treat and go along. Hard working ex teachers who put a... More
