Great food, highly recommended.

Went on Sunday evening and was very impressed with the food and friendly staff. Yes, I admit service was a bit slow but staff were pleasant and eager to please. Three out of four of us had roast which was superb (an actual rib of beef) and my son a duo of chicken, again very tasty. Portions aren't... read more

We`ve been to this restaurant a few times over the last 6 months & the first visits were good but having been there with a friend over the last 2 weeks for lunch, we have noticed that the food has been arriving cold.My wife's jacket potato had hot beans but cold potato, our friend had sausage & mash with cold mash... Have been to the Britannia twice in the last 3 months. Once in the evening and the other time at lunchtime. Sadly the service was the same both times - very slow. After starters we waited and waited and waited - we finally asked where our food was - oh dear they had not let anyone know that we had... More

Haven't been in for a while. Went with the family and was immediately concerned when we were told that they had no record of us booking. When my wife showed a confirmation email things started to move (before I walked out). We were found a seat and lovely it was to! We went to get drinks and were disappointed that... More

Do not waste your time and money here on a roast dinner So the plate of my 'roast' of beef was handed to me on a plate SOAKED with loads of gravy. The beef was extremely HARD. 2 small bits of 'roast' potatoes were definitely NOT roasted as they tasted like they were re heated. A few bits of carrots.... More

I'm not sure about this place as my opinion keeps changing sometimes the food has been spot on with a short waiting time then other times I've waited for over an hour and the food wasn't up to scratch! Some times it takes ages for someone to give us the bill! I went with family one evening and we waited... More

We went to the Britannia today, 5 adults and 1 child. Took 2 and a half hours for 2 courses. The food was good but the service was bad! We sat for 25 minutes before getting a menu or a drinks order. We seemed to be waiting a long time every time we asked for something. We did a second... More

The Britannia, is a lovely atmosphere set by the canal. It's great sitting outside on a nice day to see the boats go by. My dad and I visited today and had 2 starters s 2 main courses. All well presented, hot and delicious. We were served by David, who was polite and excellent at his job. Previously dad, had... More

We was served by Charlie who was fantastic and her food recomendation was spot on. We visited because we went to Atomic and needed someone to eat. Premier Inn rmentioned about this restaurant and I'm so pleased he did. The only negative is that we were left waiting to be sat for some time and it almost put us of... More
