Very impressed with the cooking of the steaks

Went to this steakhouse for a family meal as I had been the their burger house and was told (by people that went to it a while ago it seems) that is was amazing quality for fair value and it is all fresh locally sourced produce. Unfortunately the truth is a little bit far from the reality and for that... More

I went to franks steakhouse with my husband for a nice quiet meal. We booked early and when we first turned up it was very quiet. We were given a table upstairs. We ordered food, then a large party turned up. The only people upstairs were ourselves and the party. It echoes a bit so the others were loud, which... More

We went in September & it was amazing, Friday it was rubbish. The bun was cheap, It fell apart, was chewy & squashed down to nothing - not homemade. The burger seemed to be preformed meat & didn't taste nice. Nothing like previous visits. The staff were friendly & attentive but we're let down by the food.

I went to Franks when it first opened and was blown away by the quality. Particularly compared to other restaurants in Northampton at the time. Since then it has settled and little quirks are becoming irksome. The quality is top drawer but the value aspects are questionable. It is important that they maintain the quality in all aspects (steaks, and... More

Been while since last visited and have to say steaks bit disappointing - medium rare where over cooked and the upstairs room was cold. Good wine and waiter very pleasant and helpful. Just needs bit more attention to detail

From rave reviews from friends and acquaintances we had looked forward to this 'treat' for a while. The reality was downright mediocre. From the grunting, no eye contact waiter, the over priced and unsatisfying meal and having to sit under a very noisy fan, we were left feeling somewhat ripped off. We had to send back one meal as the... More

Have been wanting to visit Franks for ages and finally got to do it today. What a disappointment, I'm sorry to say. We went on a Sunday lunchtime and were, for some weird reason, the only people in the restaurant. Restaurant was very cold, probably due to lack of body heat and cooking happening but they turned the heating up... More

Visited last night with a couple of the lads... And we were all very impressed by the quality of not only the steaks but also the delicious side dishes... Particularly the caramelised onions... Though both the potato dishes we had (chips & patatas bravas) were also excellent... For our steaks we all chose the 300gr Fillet, which I think was... More

One of the nicest restaurants in town. Attentive service from all staff, and are willing to go the extra mile. Were more then helpful to amend the Chicken dish I ordered and I didn't some of the ingredients. Mac 'n' Cheese is by far the best I've ever had.
