Always a great place to drink on the weekends, food is great here but if you fancy something different to eat you've always got the best indian restaurant in Kingsthorpe were you can bring your own alcohol just up the high street always a bonus to have everything in the village.

Went on a Monday for the steak night, Friendly staff and excellent service. My sister was running (extremely) late for our booking however we were not harassed and hurried. I have been to the steak night a couple of times now and each time beautiful dishes are served. There is a local steak house (popular boys name in the 30's)... More

Hello Jerry and Welcome. I'm sorry that a few people spoilt your recent visit, I'm now back from holiday so it would be great if you could introduce yourself next time you're in and I can buy you a beer. We hope that it hasn't put you off too much, cheers Paul More

This is the only 'local' pub that I would ever eat at. Great food, good staff. Perfect!! Hospitality is like you are family! Food is like you are family!! There is nothing about this pub which isn't perfect!

For the money it cost, the food that was delivered on steak night was absolutely immense. Of all 11 of us - every steak was cooked to perfection and the chips and sides couldn't be faulted either. the onion ring basket was generous and they were light, crispy and homemade. Would go back again without hesitation. Only thing i'd knock... More

I've eaten here on a few occasions on their steak nights. Always cooked to perfection and plenty of food for a great price. Peak times can be a little slow but it's only a small pub so Is to be expected. Good selection of drinks and great staff and atmosphere.

One of my favourite places to drink but today I ate here for the first time with the family. I had a large nicely battered cod and chips; Clare had a chili she enjoyed; Mae had a massive bucket of whitebait and Charlotte had sausage and chips (quelle surprise). Everything was well cooked and portion sizes were more than adequate,... More

This is a pleasant traditional pub with friendly service. Have been here several times over the years as part of a largish group for an evening meal. Each time the food has been very good, reasonably priced and served up by friendly staff. However, on each occasion service has been very slow. For example, although all dishes were pre ordered...
