Best pub in Northampton, IMO. For good reasons.

All staff are always lovely. Every item on the menu is unbelievably good for the price, in amounts, in quality, in the expert cooking, in taste. 10 out of 10 (and I've had most things on the menu). You really HAVE to try the food. Also been to the cheese night - it's legendary and great. And the... read more

Fabulous pub food and consistent and plenty of it. Paul the owner is also the chef. Everything cooked to order. Chilli is superb , other half loves the omelettes and chips. Good atmosphere, especially when rugby is on TVs.

Having visited before, this was my opportunity to introduce family and friends to this great place. A group of 12 of us visited for a family Christmas meal and on arrival found the table nicely dressed with Christmas crackers on each place. Our group ranged from 7 years of age to 76 years of age and each one was well... More

The landlord does the cooking in a very small kitchen, but he certainly can cook! Been here for steak night, which is exceptional value for money. Also their beer battered fish+chips are amazing. Sunday lunch is super too. It can be difficult to book, as it is busy. The landlord can get a little grumpy with staff on occasions, but the food... More

If you want a real pub this is the place, good beer, with a very wide selection of excellent ales. Most importantly a great selection of wines served in lovely wine glasses. Food never disappoints.

This pub is everything you could want - it has a good size garden and patio area where you can have a meal or just drinks in the better weather (dogs are welcome), and indoors there are different rooms, depending on what you want. We choose the tiny TV room when there's no-one else around - comfy sofas to lounge... More

The Queen Adelaide is local to us and though we had previously been for drinks many times, we had never eaten there. We had heard how good the Sunday dinner was and that it was advisable to book. We telephoned Sunday morning and reserved a table for 3.30pm. The table was all set and reserved on our arrival. The staff... More

The pub is close to a very good friend of mine who has lived nearby for quite a while, but it wasn't until recently we discovered it and started visiting regularly. The staff have already got to know us and are always really friendly. The meals are all cooked fresh, there's a good variety and are all good value. I... More

Yet another great evening at The Queen Adelaide! We have our drama group's summer meal here every year and it always goes well. This years was the best yet. Good food, served promptly with a good range of real ales and other beverages [alcoholic or not ] to accompany it.
