Although we were the only customers we had to wait for 30 minutes before the food arrived, and the batter on the haddock was soft, and portions of chips were small. The food tasted alright but with the drinks the whole meal was very pricey,no doubt the reason why the lack of customers.quite disappointing.

We had a very nice meal with family here last night, I had steak and ale pie, which was the best I have ever had it was served with lovely mash, fresh vegetables and plenty of gravy. Very pleasant atmosphere, good service and clean surroundings, will definitely go here again.

This was a great evening out with our Grandchildren. Staff were very friendly and happy to make us all feel welcome. Food was good and portions plenty. The price is reasonable. The lady serving us could not of done more to accommodate our needs. Nice garden with large climbing frame where the children could play safely. We all enjoyed ourselves.

We decided to eat out this evening and made an excellent choice with THE COCK AT ROADE. Very good food and exceptionally clean premises. My only comment is that the eggs were over cooked with my Ham. My wife had Rib Eye Steak on the hot stone which was delicious Fresh flowers on the table added that little bit extra.

Been here few times of the last couple of weeks. And the fish of the day both times and have really enjoyed them both time. Especially the sea bass. Would ask for more lemon though. But very pleased.

We booked in on a Wednesday and were please we did as every table was occupied, always a good sign, I had the white bait and venison steak, both were very good. My wife had pate and the venison once again both were very good. One very very minor comment, in every restaurant I’ve ordered pate in you always run... More
