We just wanted a light snack/lunch so we ordered he goat cheese bruschetta which was fantastic. Definitely something I want to try at home. My son had the calamari... More

Called in here today at my wife's suggestion and so glad I did. I couldn't decide which beer to sample so had 1/3 of a pint of them all. Not a bad one amongst them. The food is also good the staff are friendly and helpful and the surroundings are great. Will certainly go back again

Had lunch here today after reading some really positive reviews about their Sunday roasts. I regret this won't be as positive, but mine is an honest review. We went in here for a quiet drink and some food and we were not disappointed as both were excellent and the atmosphere in this place is really good as well. It is an easy stroll from York Minister as well.

Looking for somewhere to eat that would satisfy two tired, hungry children and two tired, hungry adults we chanced upon the Royal Oak. The Snug had recently been vacated and we were welcomed by a lovely, friendly gentleman who promptly cleared the debris from the previous diners, brought us menus and took our drinks orders. Husband and I ordered the... More
