Booked a table for 4 and really enjoyed the drinks, open sandwiches and jacket potatoes that we ordered. Service was prompt and professional and I would certainly make a return visit. However, just a few points to note - our reserved table was in the window and drew a few stares which felt rather awkward at times and meant that... More

We walked up and down York to find a non branded coffee shop to have a sit down and rest our legs. We had walked passed Georgina's the previous day and both commented on how good the cakes looked, so we decided to give it a try. It was quite busy downstairs and lady asked if we would prefer upstairs-... More

Had a lovely afternoon cream tea with family. This included open sandwiches were ham and sun dried tomato, tuna and cucumber, bri and cranberry sauce and mushroom pate with red onion marmalade, 3 varieties of cake and a scone with jam and cream with a pot of tea. The service was very good the only reason I put 4 stars... More

Went for lunch, great food, good value for money, great service, good choice. Quirky old establishment in the shambles.

Although from the outside we were unsure about this cafe. How wrong we were! They understand gluten-free perfectly and have plenty for a coeliac to choose from. Homemade soup, freshly made open sandwiches, gorgeous garnishes and very reasonably priced. The staff were lovely too. Worth every penny. Thankyou xx

To find a cafe close to the centre of York of this quality was a pleasant surprise. Good food, efficient, friendly, service, and all at a reasonable price. We would definitely visit again

i have nothing but amazing things to say about this place! I had booked for 10 of us for special afternoon tea for my sisters hen do. I am a vegan and my cousin is a vegetarian so I didn't have high hopes for the food we would get. But it was absolutely delicious! The girls were so impressed with... More

We were looking for somewhere suitable for a light lunch at sensible prices and stumbled on this delightful little cafe. Pleasantly decorated to resemble bygone dining on cruise liners, excellent attentive device without being over- bearing. Jacket potato cooked to perfection in oven with melted and grilled cheese to make it crispy, scampi and chips (with skin on for extra... More

Came across this cafe whilst in York looking for somewhere to have something light to eat. The menu was varied and you could have had anything from a cup of tea and a scone right up to a more formal meal. The cakes looked delicious but in the end my husband was tempted by the homemade beefburger and chips. I... More
