Description: Georgina's Cafe is one of York's newest and smartest tea and coffee houses. Modelled on the liner-society cafes of the 1920s and 30s Georgina's offers breakfasts, snacks, lunches and afternoon teas as well as great tea and coffee. 4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2014 NEW

Recently visited with 4 adults and one very lively 15 month old grandson. We had rung ahead to ask if it was suitable for the youngster, and were told "no problem", and so it proved to be. When we arrived the staff had set up a table and highchair for us in the upstairs section, which we had to ourselves!... More

We popped into Georgina's because they have free WIFI, I liked Georgina's because of the Yorkshire brack and Wensleydale cheese I had for afternoon tea! The brack is a dark fruit cake taditioanl to the area, and the Wensleydale cheese is simply wonderful! Vey much worth the time to stop and try it!

Nice little cafe in a busy area. The service was good and it wasn't as expensively priced as others around. The tea and scones were excellent and the staff friendly

Lovely café which served us fantastic freshly cooked breakfast which tasted fantastic and was excellent value for money. Coffee was excellent and there was a great selection of cakes (although we didn't have any due to breakfast being so filling). Well worth a visit if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed!

If you're looking for delicious freshly prepared food that is value for money, visit Georgina's cafe. We enjoyed a gorgeous lunch and if you like desserts, this is the place to go ~ you'll be spoilt for choice. I can personally recommend the white chocolate & milk chocolate cheesecake, it's by far the best I've ever tasted ! Excellent.

A pleasurable cafe with its friendly staff. The setting is relaxing (at times) but can also, like many other food places. get quite busy. The prices are reasonable, and the cakes were delightful. Plenty of artwork on the walls to glance at whist you eat or wait for your food to be served to you. The service was reasonable, and... More

The competition in the city centre is fierce, but Georgina's Cafe is more than holding it's own. The food is delicious and freshly prepared, the staff are friendly (and competent!), and the cafe building itself is full of character.

After previously being here before for coffee and cake, we decided to come for breakfast. Although the scrambled egg looked so unappealing, it was actually very very tasty. Even my very particular other half was impressed so it must have been good! Thank you!
