Perfect

Afternoon tea was amazing and the staff were lovely. I will definitely be going back to sample the larger cakes as they looked so good.

Stopped off here for a Monday morning breakfast. This place is clean and well presented. The full breakfast was a good size to start the day off and the prices are suitable.

A simple but comfortable restaurant/coffee & cake stop with lovely homemade cakes. Great for a pit stop when walking the shambles.

Being coeliac, I've lost count of the number of restaurants and cafés I've been to where the only choice is a plain salad or a jacket potato. So finding Georgina's Cafe right in the heart of York was heaven. There is a whole menu of gluten free food (ask for the menu, it's separate from the main one), and the... More

Visited on 20 June, table wasn't available but we were told they would clear one and asked to take a seat while we waited which wasn't long. Ordered 2 special afternoon teas, surprisingly we were told they take 25 minutes to make as the ciabatta was freshly cooked to order and had to check if they could do it, this... More

Had special afternoon tea and was very ordinary.Sunday staff indifferent, if you want more than one top up of tea/coffee they charge extra and don't warn you.Rarely leave comments but as a York resident was disappointed. Not sure why its called "special" because it was not. Credit to website which makes it sound more special than it is.

Stopped into Georgina's for tea around midday and it was lovely. Edinburgh tea was around £5 and you got a pot of tea, and a huge scone with jam and clotted cream. Staff were friendly and the place was warm and welcoming.

Called in for lunch with family. Lunch very nicely presented, well cooked, tasty and plentiful. Very reasonably priced. Had a pleasant walk around York, then went back for tea and cake. Delicious and though it was near closing time we weren't rushed at all. Highly recommended.
