i have nothing but amazing things to say about this place! I had booked for 10 of us for special afternoon tea for my sisters hen do. I am a vegan and my cousin is a vegetarian so I didn't have high hopes for the food we would get. But it was absolutely delicious! The girls were so impressed with... read more

We were looking for somewhere suitable for a light lunch at sensible prices and stumbled on this delightful little cafe. Pleasantly decorated to resemble bygone dining on cruise liners, excellent attentive device without being over- bearing. Jacket potato cooked to perfection in oven with melted and grilled cheese to make it crispy, scampi and chips (with skin on for extra... More

Came across this cafe whilst in York looking for somewhere to have something light to eat. The menu was varied and you could have had anything from a cup of tea and a scone right up to a more formal meal. The cakes looked delicious but in the end my husband was tempted by the homemade beefburger and chips. I... More

Called in for breakfast before we headed back home after a week in York. One place we have passed by on several occasions and now we wonder why?! It is utterly charming, attentive staff and breakfast was superb. The whole experience was unhurried and made all the better because unlike other eateries in York, Georgina's does not have all their... More

I am a picky eater that can't eat gluten. No worries I get a gluten free menu, service with a smile and swift service here!! I had a chicken Brie and cranberry open sandwich.. It was huge!! It was delicious and was served very quickly. The place was very busy, which is a reflection on the good food and good... More

Good food. I had a sandwich and the bread was good. Good sized portions. I would go again if I came back to York.

We always call here for coffee and cake when on a shopping trip in york. Staff are lovely. Cakes are amazing although not all are homemade. I had homemade carrot cake this time. It was gorgeous.

I decided on Georgina's after reading the reviews on here and have mixed opinion. Firstly the cafe seemed a little cramped and somewhat disorganised. I had booked a table and when we arrived were shown upstairs to be seated in a very cramped corner right next to the door the servers were using. This was despite several seats being available... Usually the first place we stop for breakfast when we arrive. Bagels are excellent and they even cater for my quirks and separate my food...... Great location, excellent staff.

Stopped off for a drink and bite to eat at lunch time and whilst everything was very good from the food to the service I was a little "lost" as to why when serving a plate of cheese's there are no bread/cracker's as part of the dish, you have to order them seperately which to me seemed a little strange.
