CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT

I love this place and visited it on Thursday. I was shocked when I found its closed for refurbishment and very disappointed. They could have put something on the net about it not being open.

I didn't give this place a good review when I visited some time ago but called in again today for a snack . The tomatoe & basil soup I had today was excellant - not acidic as it can be sometimes but full of flavor & I could taste the fresh basil . It was served with two small bread... More

Lovely little cafe near York Minster, visited for afternoon tea, good food, great value - less than £20 a head for afternoon tea with prosecco, lovely staff, a great alternative to the more formal hotels and the sometimes overcrowded Bettys,

We needed lunch when visiting York - most places were absolutely heaving... however this cafe has a lovely upstairs with quite a bit more room and so was not as madly crowded. We had a drink with a soup and sandwich... this was really tasty, nicely presented and with good service.

Really sweet little tea room for breakfast. They do a lovely coffee and bap at a reasonable price. Would return again if we are passing.

We stopped by chance one Sunday lunchtime. It's a lovely place with a good range of food. My daughter had the salmon fishcakes and is quite fussy, so was chuffed they were delicious. Jacket potato generous size and tasty, burger huge and yum and cream tea also lovely. We chose to sit at the back on some comfy sofas, was... More

We had lunch here and the sandwiches were delicious. Very fresh and tasty. However it does take a while for food to arrive...we waited around 25 minutes just for cold sandwiches.

I'd heard about the cakes at Georgina's and we just had to take a look, so on Friday before going home that's exactly what we did! We were greeted by a lovely girl who seemed to be working on her own yet she made us and the rest of the customers her number one priority. The atmosphere was brilliant, and... More

A lovely homely setting,& so much nicer than the "touristy" places. We overheard a customer saying what a lovely meal she'd had so thought we'd try it. We opted for the soup as didn't want a big meal, soup was hot, VERY tasty and the chunk of cheese and bread that came with it made a lovely mid-day snack. We... More
