Me and my partner decided on going here for food as I often walk past but have never been. So very very glad we did. I had the duck main which was fantastic and my partner had the lamb which she enjoyed thoroughly as well as enjoying tasting mine too. We had 3 starters as she couldn't decide which one... More

Very welcoming staff - friendly and accommodating. Food beautifully presented, and really delicious. A truly wonderful experience of perfectly cooked food, at a more than reasonable price with a individualistic atmosphere. We were only in York for 2 nights, but if we come again, would definitely visit ateO'clock again.

It is much more than a burger joint - their specials board had a tremendous variety of dishes which appealed, but having been recommended as having a truly good burger we didn't stray ! Basic burger and a brioche bun were really pretty good, throw in barbecue sauce, smoked bacon and cheese and you have a winner. Likewise the chicken... More

My wife and I ate here to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary in our favourite UK destination. We'd previously only been for the lunch menu a couple of years ago. It's a fairly small restaurant with relatively close tables in an open layout, so doesn't feel super intimate but it didn't bother us at all and the noise levels weren't... More

We ate here on Saturday evening and had a lovely time. Food was excellent and the staff very friendly & helpful. Not as expensive as some of the York restaurants we ate for around £85 for two including wine, desserts & coffees. First class and heartily recommended.

We were passing and just popped in. Thankfully they had a table available as we were a little early. The service was friendly and expertly performed. The food was exceptional. Daft i know, but it was the best green salad ever! I had the whole sole which was tasty and really big, my husband had the lamb shank which he... More

Found this by accident and--wow!--was the food ever good. The atmosphere was nice enough, but could be improved with slightly fewer knick-knacks (the 8 o'clock thing is done and overdone). Suggest also music that's less loud. Very good wait staff.

One of York's hidden gems. It's tucked away down a little snicket. It has a small number of covers so always best to book to avoid disappointment. Food is delicious and well presented, and always has a good varied menu. Definitely worth a visit!
