Relaxing place to enjoy coffee and cake

Good coffee and cake! Reasonably priced. Nice place to sit and chat as long as you like. Have been twice now and will return.

As a local I know ALL the cafes in town, and for anyone liking creative and Bohemian atmosphere, this is my new number 1 :)

We were on a mission to find a couch in York for some Sunday-afternoon relaxation. This place was recommended and didn't disappoint! Spent some time reading on the upstairs couch and enjoyed a pot of tea, a cappuccino and a scone with clotted cream and jam. Relaxed homey atmosphere and friendly staff, furnished with odds-n-ends and walls covered in eclectic... More

Perfect coffee break in York ... Turn up before 11:30 and you may get free croissant with your drink. Looking more like a art gallery is making difference in world of Starbucks coffee factory.

I went there with friends for the first time and we loved it. The cake (chocolate mascarpone) was delicious, the coffee was very good and service was super friendly. The decorations however were our favourite, they are a delightful mix and wherever you look cute details are found. Definitely one of the must visit places for coffee when you are... More

Just had one of the best coffee's I've had whilst in York for £2.20 and they give free croissant's with any coffee or tea purchased before 11.30am! Great value! Lovely place and staff too. Will be visiting Again to try the lunch menu.

Hi Darren Thank you so much for your fantastic 5 bubble review, it means a lot to us and should help promote us up the rankings a little. The free pastry, croissant or porridge with any coffee or tea offer is proving to be very popular. Hope it tempts you to stop by again soon! Gary & Mila ( owners) More

We tried this restaurant for the first time, and we was not disappointed. The service was very warm and welcoming and the selection of cakes, food, hot/cold drinks were very refreshing and looked very nice. I had a Panini and a smoothie, both very good and they are all within a reasonable price range. It is also nice to sit... More

In desperate need of a sit down and a drink we spotted The Hungry Artist and decided to give it a go after seeing the reviews on here. I had a raspberry and apple smoothie, which was really very nice, and shared a slice of the sticky chocolate orange cake. The cake was really unusual and very, very nice. There... More

This place is great for coffee and cake mid shopping. A querky place with artwork to look at and watch people pass by whilst you enjoy delicious cakes and good coffee or tea. Our second visit here now. Much better than your chain places!
