I asked for a small cappuccino (nice coffee) at York Station today. This size is perfect for me: one shot, and not much milk and foam (£1.95). A member of staff said they had been told not to serve small ones any more. I said: fine, I’ll do without. But she served me a small one anyway, and the receipt... More

Hi there, We've spoken to the member of staff who served you and as she is a new member to the team she was initially a bit confused with your order, but we're glad you managed to get the coffee size you wanted in the end. We look forward to seeing you at Filmore again soon! Jen Guest Services More

Just been into F & U in Wetherby for a cake and a cup of tea. The table that we sat down at hadn't been cleared or cleaned even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. The young man greeted us with the menus and the quip that, " You know how it works guys". The muffin that I chose was... More

We ate here Wednesday evening, wasn't planned but menu looked great and we regularly have coffee here when in the city The food quality and three course deal were fantastic, we've eaten in most York restaurants and I'd rank this amongst the best, great service in lovely surroundings Don't review very often but had such a nice evening I thought... Went with 2 companions - one vegetarian who is used to often having very little choice on most menus (and doesn't eat mushrooms, which is often a problem), the other in need of a light dinner after a rather stodgy/greasy lunch. Plus me (must avoid wheat, often limited choices in most restaurants). So although F&U's light, strong on vegetables choices... More

Nice atmosphere - not too noisy. Lovely, fresh-tasting food produced by an impossibly tiny kitchen, plenty of non-meat options, and (from our table) one of the best views in York - down Stonegate to the Minster. I was disappointed with my main course and it was replaced quickly with no fuss by our nice waiter Chris. I was impressed enough... More

Hi Claire, Thank you so much for your lovely review - we're glad to hear Chris sorted out your problem and you came back and visited us again. All our produce is fresh, seasonal and locally sourced where possible as we like to support local producers and believe that food is so much tastier when it's travelled less miles. Hopefully... More

We chose to visit here as we had been staying in York and fancied a light breakfast and a change from full English offerings. We were not disappointed, the granola with berry compote & almond milk was very tasty; my eldest son (6 years old) opted for porridge with fresh berries and honey and they added cold milk at the... The look on the face of the 'chef' when I had the temerity to request a plain tuna sandwich for my 4 year old (who has little interest in rocket or grated beetroot at the moment) was quite something. Clearly he thought this was beneath his culinary reputation as on returning to the shop to collect, I found one of... More

I'm a fan of eating food as near to it's natural state as possible. I have eaten and had take outs from Filmore and Union in Wetherby, York Station and York Centre. All superb quality, great staff, delicious and nutritious food and drinks. I recently called into the York branch one evening, with a friend. We just wanted something light... More
