What a refreshing change!

Found this with my Gourmet card giving 25% off the total bill. Lovely fresh surroundings, fab waitress, healthy but soooo tasty menu! When my steak wasn't cooked right - which is not unusual - there were no problems, changed with minimum fuss, always a sign of a good restaurant. Highly... read more

The starters were class, the sweet potatoe amd chorizo was fantastic. The medium steak was unfortunatly cooked to well done, i was very polite about sending it back, but it was immidiatly appologised for and another correctly cooked piping hot steak brought out with extra veg etc. it was very nice. & the staff insisted it was taken off the... We were on holiday in York and spent New Year's Eve at this wonderful restaurant. My wife who is coeliac was delighted that she could eat anything on the menu. Wonderful gluten-free food. Friendly staff. Delicious juices.

I had booked at table for Saturday afternoon for a well deserved child free trip to York with the husband. We arrived fifteen minutes late due to the bad traffic and to my relief our table had been saved. After being seated we had a bit of a wait to be given menus, the waitress was warm and welcoming and... More

If you are in York and love cake, go to Filmore and Union. All the treats are divine, whether you can eat gluten or not. My slice of Orange and Lavender cake was moist, not too sweet and quite big enough for me.The cafe itself is lovely and friendly.

This is a lovely restaurant upstairs but spoiled by expensive prices and small portions. I know their philosophy is healthy food but I think the diners pay over the odds for this. When discussing what to choose from the menu, the waiter told us that because the food is organic and they did not want to charge their customers too... More

When we first moved to York we loved Filmore and Union, but nowadays we avoid at all costs. Portions became ridiculously small, and prices went through the roof. The last time I bought a brownie from the station kiosk it was nearly £3 for a brownie bite. I thought she had left most of it behind on the counter. Very... More

I really like this little restaurant in York and regularly drop in even if it's just for coffee and cake. Recently I've been for a couple of evening meals and have been pleasantly surprised. The food is beautifully presented and the taste to match, yes it is healthy and yes the portions are not large but I've never left hungry.... More

To come into a restaurant where I have such choice is such a thrill and not disappointed by the quality of the food. The salmon special was to die for, simple but so tasty. I so appreciated being able to have an almond milk hot chocolate after my very cold guided walk, and then a piece of orange and lavender... More
