Well worth a visit or two!

We arrived 5 minutes before food was due to finish and we were still welcomed. We had a Sunday lunch plus pudding. Food was good and plentiful. Staff were very helpful despite our late arrival

There was a good selection of food and lots of specials. Everything thing is "pub grub", not gastro, but that's what we enjoy, simple food cooked well cooked. Our party had roast pork loin, salmon, fish and chips and chicken pasta. Nice ale too. The waitresses were lovely. Each of us would visit again. (they just need some coffee!)

We met up with family from Scotland who were on holiday in the area and booked 8 of us in for a very late Sunday Lunch. Staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive. Two meats Sunday lunch was excellent. Everything served hot, great choice of vegetables. Very well priced. Meals served quickly and efficiently. Will definitely revisit when next in the area.

We called in to the White Bear on the off-chance of getting a table which we did - the last one! The welcome from the Bar and Restaurant Staff was really friendly and attentive. We settled just for a main course, my guest having the Herb Crusted Poached Salmon (very tasty), whilst I had the Home-made Chicken Kiev which was... More

Went here with my wife and parents for early Fathers Day present, having had fond memories of Stillington from my former years. We weren't disappointed and as review title suggests, I had the best black pudding ever, followed by venison, washed down with Sam Smiths Old Brewery bitter. I would have had red wine but I don't get the chance... More

Good pub food with a wide choice on the menu supplemented by a specials board. Pleasant staff and friendly service Good choice of real ales compliment the food, obviously popular with the locals.
