I was recommended this place and could only get a table for 8 at 6.30pm. Apart from being told "it was a great little Italian" I had no idea what to expect. When I arrived and saw the smallness of the place which was packed I was concerned. I needn't have been, the whole meal including service, ambience, food far... More

A fantastic little gem of a restaurant providing all the ingredients for an enjoyable evening. Arrived half an hour early from booking and was packed (6.20 on a Friday......impressive) realised later it was due to a meal deal, bonus!!! Staff were lovely, funny and charming, food delicious- home made and moorish (recommend tiramisu for pudding as well) everything coming out... More

I can never find enough superlatives for my opinion of this "little piece" of Italian eatery. . From entering to leaving is my Favourite place to be. The greeting my family and I get is just the "STARTER" .After that is just like being at home. We have been so many times and now are classed as "FAMILY". If you... More

Have visited the resturant a few times and have not been disapointed. Pizzas look amazing and thin crust, pasta dishes look authentic and the steaks are so good that the resturant challenges you to see if you have had better-we havent! You will need to book as it gets very busy but worth it.

Probably one of the best - great food, service, atmosphere, value (did I mention the food??). It's small, it's a bit loud, it's soooo Sicilian, and it's great. Don't go there or there won't be room for us

been meaning to book a table for ages, finally got round to it. It certainly feels like you are in a world of all things Italian, the TV, the busy happy waiters and the owner/chef on the pavement chatting to all passer-byers. It has its own atmosphere - mainly very noisy! But that apart the food is superb, and the... More

Paolo and the guys always make a real effort to please everyone! The food at the restaurant is without a doubt the best, most authentic Italian Food I've ever tasted in my life! As well as the food, the customer service is 2nd to none!

This is such an authentic experience and very reasonable too! The staff made us feel welcome and the food was worth going back until you've tried the whole menu. Each dish was unique and the staff did a great job of selling it. It's the only italian I've been to that actually made me nostalgic about my trip to Italy... More

This is by far the most authentic everyday Italian I know of in York. And by authentic I mean: amazing fresh food, mismatched crockery, very reasonable prices, grubby decor, unpredictable service, unpredictable opening times, and a giant TV which usually shows Italian domestic soccer. Everything that's distinctive and fun about those little places in the central Italian countryside, recreated in... More
