We booked a table at short notice for 9:30pm on a busy Friday night, and were surprised to be able to get seats. However, on arrival the restaurant was only about 25% full. The first issue was with trying to read the menu. The restaurant was VERY dimly lit and the menu is printed on black card. This resulted in... More

Another excellent night at the jinnah. This Indian is a must to try. The food is always a high standard as is the service. Poppadom with pickle tray, followed by a starter of chicken kebab, fish and onion Bhaji. Then you help yourself to the Buffett. 10 plus curries. Chicken, lamb, beef, fish, vegetables, rice. You also get a choice... More

Six of us went for dinner on a Sunday evening and had no problem getting a table. The service was exemplary and the food absolutely lovely. I have to say the Naan breads were the biggest I've seen and are served on a spike to the table. The buffet which we all had was very good and had a large... More

Yesterday I had another fantastic meal here at Jinnah with my entire family (5 of us in total). Personally I am fan of fish and lamb both, so ordered Masala Fish for starter and Lamb Vindalo and let me tell they both were astonishingly fantastic. Both were well marinated, thoroughly cooked and tendered. Rest of the entire family were happy... More

It was quite Wednesday night and me and my partner both decided to go for an Indian meal. We were told about the restaurant by the waiter by the river, where we were having a drink. Our starters and both main fish course dishes were amazing. Naan was great as well. The total bill of both of us was £43.50,... More

Me and my hubby were staying in york for the weekend. After reading reviews on here about Jinnah we thought we would try it, we went for the buffet because we love indian food so thought we could sample a few different dishes. There was only 2 types of rice plain pilau and pea pilau, there was little signs near... More

The good value for money deal entices people in here (or it did with us). However..you get what you pay for. The staff (except one person!) are rude and ignorant. They never cracked a smile, made us feel as though we were in the way and one waiter started to reset a table near to us and proceeded to slam... More
