Interesting little place!

A little bar hidden above a beer shop. This place is lovely we always go when on a shopping trip to York. They have a wide range of drinks to pick from and the food is lovely. If you just want a snack and a drink the olives and bread are great, but if you want a meal you cant... More

I really like the place , the only problem is when you get staff that think they are to cool and hip .... At the end of the day we as costumers are there to spend money to pay you wages and not to felt as an inconvenience form discussing last nites party.....

what a fantastic place. Staff very friendly, the young lady behind the bar was very pleasant answering various questions! Very tiny so got quite hot but a great atmosphere & will definitely visit when we're in York again.

A very good selection of beers and other drinks. My boyfriend is a real beer lover and his hobby is trying beers from all over the world. He was not disappointed by the selection in this shop. From the outside it looks quite small but it extends backwards, downwards and upwards (where there is a cool little bar). We have... More

Called in on a lunchtime as a relative had reccommended this, which is above an off licence which is selling literally thousands of beers. You have to travel through the off licence to the pub, which is quite small only seating about 30 people. Had a quick drink here, but the food which was being presented did look very good,... More

This was a great find but I almost did not write this review. The place is small, maybe 30 people, the food is great. (The Yorkshire platter was wonderful) Seems like most locals, not many tourists, nice staff. Upstairs above a retail shop that sells food items. Stairs are narrow, steep and winding but if you can manage them it... More

I love this little place. Don't think it's just a shop if you are walking past! 100s and 100s of different beers for sale in the shop. You can then go upstairs and drink them for a small charge or get yourself a drink at the bar. The food is also delicious. Well worth a visit. I could literally spend... More

This place is so quirky and cool, a tiny loft bar that has a great selection of ales and the food is delicious, they have no kitchen so to turn out food like they do is amazing. We spent at least 3 hours in here on Friday 26th June. Its somewhere we always visit when we come to York. I... More
