What a pleasant surprise! The only pub in the village was banging on New Years Eve. What a fun night and great disco!

Shooting in Farndale so we met up here for breakfast followed by lunch later in the day. Breakfast was hearty & very good indeed. The dinner was again seriously good & there was far too much food for us all to stand any chance of eating. The landlady was charming & a perfect host. Probably the best dining experiences for... If this review was only based on the food then it would rate it 1 or at best 2 stars. The positives were that the staff were friendly, the beer (Black Sheep) was good and there was a nice atmosphere in the pub. We visited one evening and with regard to the meals, I ordered 'slow cooked belly pork' which... More

In a lovely homely setting, met by a very pleasent, welcoming host and a wonderful fire. I can absolutely recomment the Yorkshire pudding dish where the... More

This pub provided a welcome lunch stop whilst we were on a circular walk in Farndale on a cool damp day - the soup was delicious.

Visited over Bank Holiday week-end and althought restaurant was quite busy we had good service and good food. We were a group of 8 aged between 8 months to 86 years old and all of our meals were good. Not one complaint. Staff were very friendly. The clientele were all nice people too and it had a good atmosphere.
