We had afternoon tea in Bettys and it was a lovely experience the tea was really good quality and despite being queued out of the door there was no pressure to vacate your table we had to ask for our bill. we will go back

Busy. 20 minute wait on narrow stairs. So use the other Bettys if you have problems with stairs. Service and staff excellent. A bit costly, but you visit for the experience.

This is my favourite Betty's, cosy with wonderful staff and a great view up Stonegate if you're lucky enough to get a window table!

This was our second visit to Little Bettys and both times we loved it. Today, we had the Rosti which was fabulous, When the plate was put in front of me my first thought was that there was not much there. Not so - by the time I had finished I was feeling pretty full. There was more than enough.... More

Appears small from outside. Seating upstairs, need to queue up the stairs which is Not ideal, then squeeze past the queue on way back down. Not cheap, but not overly expensive. Good cup of tea and a variety of coffees. Good selection of cakes. Service exemplary. Be prepared to wait for a table.

Hadn't realised Betty's had opened another café in the city! Although it looks much smaller don't be deceived by the shop front. There's plenty of room upstairs. Only called in for a quick cup of tea (and a fat rascal of course) but, as ever, the service was exemplary and the tea and cake delicious. Betty's is not cheap -... More

This is the little Betty's in York - In my opinion much better then the bigger one. Cute little historical environment, always lovely tea and food. Quite often has queues and is a little squishy but worth it for the Betty's experience.

Went to this Betty's as the larger one was too busy. The little shop is lovely and traditional with lots of cakes and teas etc to buy. Queue started inside the shop staff gave us a menu to look at while we waited. Had to wait for about 30 minutes. The café is up starts didn't see a lift so... More
