Very pleasant experience here - lovely to see how they can accommodate those with restricted mobility, as there is a stair lift in place. Afternoon tea was lovely, and their signature tea is definitely a must have - this place would rival Betty's in York!

All the food is home cooked. I went several times for both lunch and afternoon tea. The staff are considerate and friendly and noting I have some walking difficulties really took care of me. As I left I was always tempted to buy a fancy cake and they never disappointed me.

This place has a lovely restaurant. Very quaint. However, on this occasion I decided to buy and eat out (lovely weather). Stood at the counter for a few mins whilst staff chatted about the weather and filled sausage rolls patiently only to find two grannies come in and get served without a glance ate or my pushchair or my £20... I loved my 'Jap cake' - loads of chocolate vermicelli, super meringue cake and just the right amount of creamy filling. Yum yum! The tea was piping hot and came with a pot of hot water, service was good and the background music from a harpist was wonderful. It lent a very genteel feel to the whole atmosphere. I even... More

A return visit to a fabulous restaurant. Crab sandwiches divine, plum cake light and tasty. Stairs steep but chairlift available to overcome this. BT hotspot also accessible. We'll be back...
