Silver service, a harp player in the winter on Saturdays. The best hot chocolate I have had anywhere. Always very fresh, great value, warm and friendly service. Eat there regularly and over 13 years have never ever been disappointed. I buy their food, coffee, tea downstairs too to take home.

Very nice lunch here today. The sandwiches were delicious and we enjoyed the tea room atmosphere. We bought cakes to takeaway from the shop downstairs which were great.

A three-tier offering of sandwiches, cream scones and fancy cakes. There's an option to choose cheese scones and chutney rather than fruit scones with jam and I think next time I'd do that. It takes a lot to over face me with sugar but this rich tea managed it. The sandwiches were good. If you don't have the appetite for... More

Went to these tea rooms after reading reviews and wasn't disappointed! Went with my boyfriend at lunchtime midweek and it was busy but not heaving. Was seated very quickly and we ordered an afternoon tea for my boyfriend and a quiche with a jacket potato for myself with a cream scone for afters. My boyfriend requested could he have two... More

We paid several visits during our stay in Whitby and had great tea and coffee and irresistible cakes plus take out sausage rolls and sandwiches. This is a traditional bakery, hard to find in a country where everyone seems to flock to supermarket cafes for their coffee, cakes and snacks.

A must to visit on any trip to Whitby. Absolutely fantastic service, food, atmosphere, hygiene on every occasion. I am a regular visitor and would not recommend anywhere else. Staff are only to helpful and have the service delivery just right. Not had a bad meal yet and also use their bakery downstairs

We didn't eat in but we bought some cakes to take home and the curd tart is one of the best ever. It was creamy and slightly spicy and I wish we'd bought more. But we're going back to Whitby next month and we'll be visiting this shop again. Definitely.

Popped in to pick up some goodies. They had a very good offer on, so I came away with a cotton bag, filled with fruit cakes, brack, teabags and biscuits. Fantastic value for money at £20 for the lot.

We had a lovely cuppa and cake, a lovely traditional tea room with plenty of choice and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
