We always visit Elizabeth's when in Whitby as its a lovely treat. The food is perfect and the service very good as well. It's like a step back in time with old fashioned values where things are done properly, silver teapots and sugar lumps etc. The cream tea is especially nice and all the cakes look delicious, would recommend you... We came here for lunch and found it to be a delightful cafe. It was service with a smile and a warm welcome. We had a smoked salmon sandwich which was nice and fresh, this came with a side salad, coleslaw and potato salad. The cheese scone was tasty and the coffee came piping hot. There was a lovely atmosphere... More

I've been coming here for years, probably every couple of months, usually for lunch. Service is always good, food always top notch. There are some tasty lunch dishes and one of my favourites is one of Botham' s lovely pork pies, served with delicious chutney and a nice salad. I've never been less than satisfied with either food, service or... More

Everytime we visit Whitby we stop in the Skinner Street branch for something to eat. This time it consisted of breakfast on two consecutive days with both the waitress and cook commenting on how they'd remembered us from the previous day. Botham's never fails to impress. Staff, surroundings and food are outstanding. It always brings a bit of the past... More

I would like to thank all the staff at the Baxtergate shop, as well as Liz, for helping me to surprise my husband on his birthday. I had ordered a cake from them and wished for it to be brought out with candles on. The lady carrying it even sang Happy Birthday along with me! The staff were very discreet... More

As previous review we can't believe the number of times we have visited Whitby and not been here. What a find a traditional tea room with lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. We had plough mans and pork pie salad which were both really tasty and served with fresh bread and hot tea. Will visit again when back in Whitby.

Our first visit to Bothams Tea Rooms. Can't believe we haven't been before. Lovely warm, cosy ambiance and friendly efficient staff. Excellent crab sandwich, tasty cheese scones and a tasty, hot cups of quality tea. Definitely be back again.

We visit Whitby every year and always call in here. Classical tearoom upstairs above the shop. Attentive service, good range of teas and coffees and food appropriate to the Time of day. We tend to morning coffee or afternoon tea so cannot speak for lunches. Always good in quality, value and service. Their own cakes and tea breads especially. We... More
