This is a lovely old fashioned team rooms situated above the Botham bakery shop. We came across this Tea Rooms by chance. After wandering through the town we chanced across a beautiful bakers and noticed they had tea rooms upstairs. Wow what a superb place. The oak panels and décor is a reminder of times gone by and the waitress are all dressed in black with white aprons. There menu is great and possible... More

So much choice, you won't know where to start. The cakes have got to be some of the best in the country and the savouries just as good. Ideal place for morning coffee, lunch or a delicious cream tea. If you're a cake lover, the only problem will be knowing when to stop. They have 2 premises in Whitby and... More

Lovely service and even more lovely produce. A visit to Whitby is not a visit unless you stop off at Botham's for afternoon tea and stocking up of biscuits and cakes. I always opt for the excellent offer of 4 cakes plus 2 packs of biscuits (in a reusable cotton bag) for around £12. The Yorkshire Brack is a guilt... More

Good food. In particular mushrooms on toast. Very slow service, take your knitting or a crossword puzzle.

A true Tea Room experience. Everything is "right", two types of sugar with sugar tongs, tea served in the pot with a pot of hot water, wait staff beautifully presented including caps and 4 generations of baking experience AND they blend their own teas. They have recently renovated the Georgian Tea rooms on Skinner Street and it is incredibly well... More

Lovely place, old fashioned tea rooms upstairs above the shop which sells delicious bakery items. Waitress service, wearing uniforms, friendly. Tea served in silver pots, with a pot of hot water! Fine china, cream or savoury tea served on proper cake stands. A very welcome step back in time.
