Gigantic battered cumberland sausage

Very nice; quick service. Table was a wee bit sticky. The chips were lovely, curry sauce was very nice and then even had Irn Bru which is very nice

My husband described the batter on his fish as the best batter he had ever had, it was light and crispy. As a person that needs gluten free food it was the first battered fish that I have had in years and was also delicious. It was also really nice to get the bread and butter and feel that my... More

Got every part of our order wrong. staff were rude and unkempt looking, seemed like it was a hassle for them to just do their job. Paid for our drinks and left unfed.

We stopped in to Robertsons having seen a group of people standing outside with some top looking food. The skies had greyed considerably so we decided to sit inside, a small premium on the price but that is to be expected for table service, which was second to none on an admittedly quiet period of a Sunday afternoon. I ordered... More

Great place to eat, I think this is the only place who use vegetable oil to fry. Nice and lovely family friendly environment.

Haddock, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter plus a pot of tea for 2 and two children's meals (one fishcake and one sausage) for less than £30 at a fab, friendly cafe... Not sure why people are queuing for other fish restaurants in Whitby when Robertsons has tables free... Friendly staff, tasty food, decent prices and nice surroundings. We'll be... More

Came here for a meal and was disappointed with the service. Food was great and tasted amazing but coca cola tasted cheap and waited nearly half an hour before coming and asking if we wanted desserts. Never came over to ask if the food was ok until the 30 minutes after we finished eating

we stayed in Whitby for 4 days , and during this 4 days we ate at Robertsons twice. It is veggie friendly which is an absolute delight to me, as I can't usually eat in fish and chip shops at all. Hubby enjoyed a nice home made burger one day and a a very sizeable cod another. Best fish and... More
