Exquisite

Not far off a Michelin star, in my opinion. Value for money and extremely well cooked and presented. We ate in the conservatory, which we specifically asked for given the birthday occasion. We had the 63 degree egg and ham hock, mushroom soup to start with. The sea bass and Yorkshire pork... read more

An excellent place to dine - with pleasant service and beautifully presented food. The desserts are sublime.

We stay at Raithwaite Hall every December, and discovered this year that there is a new chef whose menus are excellent. Well done!

Went for a meal with the wife on Saturday as part of the luxury for less package. 3 course meal with some supplements. The restaurant was very well presented, we were in a well decorated room overlooking the gardens. The staff were extremely attentive, but never overbearing and took our orders in a timely manner. The food was reasonably priced... More

We had evening meals here whilst staying in the hotel as part of our bed, breakfast and dinner package. Our room was excellent and I had high hopes for the restaurant but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. As other reviews state, the staff are just going through the motions and there is no background music. The most bizarre... More

Food excellent when you get it. Service unnatural poor , atmosphere poor no background music . Book a table long before you actually want to eat . Take a long time before they take your order . Lots of staff but interaction with customers poor. Would not go back .

Due to us staying in The Hall at the Raithwaite Estate we decided to have dinner at the Brace. The food was very good and tasteful although the waiter did not check for allergies when we placed the order. Since the menu description did not mention the prawn topping I had to send it back. The error was however managed... More

Both my husband and I eat out and enjoy new food so it was a surprise to order what sounded like a fairly normal meal (lamb and veal) and to discover such exciting new tastes.

My fiancé and I went for a 2 night stay last year to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. It was beautiful. Everything from start to finish was fantastic! My fiancé is lactose, wheat and yeast intolerant and they were able to accommodate his needs without any disruption to us. I look forward to going back again when time allows!
