We must have walked past a hundred times, but stopped this time for a quick tea/coffee.. Pop in next time you're passing - the cakes looked good and the rooms upstairs are a real blast from the past..

Great coffee and cake, sweet little cafe with friendly service. A warm place to go for a nice cosy cuppa.

Seriously, how often do you go into a place for the first time and leave thinking it's one of the best experiences ever? This is one of those places - It is a simple, small cafe with "tea room" decor - nothing fancy but they serve really good coffee and the lemon meringue pie was so unexpected - not sure... More

Walking around the quaint town of Whitby, we stopped into this cozy tea room for a coffee. Upon walking in, and seeing the Lemon Meringue Pie, we got one to share. We sat up stairs in the quaint and quiet tea room, and listened to old music from the early 1900's while enjoying delicious coffee and pie. Truly very memorable... More

We always try to visit when in the area as they have excellent scones, which we all enjoy. The Pattiserie is presented in a lovely period style relating to the name, and the assistants are so friendly.

On the walk up to the Abbey , this is a really quirky coffee shop . Decorated very nicely and within keeping of the theme . There are plenty of cakes to choose from so you will be spoilt for choice. The service is polite but not very warm , however we have been a few times and when all... More

The venue is beautiful, my early grey was perfectly piping hot & the carrot cake moist with beautiful cheese frosting. However the lady that served us was rude & unhelpful, no smiles & monosyllabic words. Shame really.

We popped in for very early tea and cake before we left Whitby for home - we'd never been in because it always looks cramped from outside but it turns out it's tiny downstairs but there's plenty of seating upstairs. The decor is immaculately and beautifully period French yet it's still modern in its way. The tea was the best... More

Popped in yesterday for cake and coffee and a wander around Whitby. A lovely spot - friendly staff - great variety of cakes and drinks and lovely ambience with real French touches, Would definitely return - thankyou
