We are frequent visitors to this wonderful little establishment. Why? Because it is so nice. In fact almost reluctant to write this revue as it may encourage more users and there will be less space for us. That would be unfair though. The scones are always fresh and just warm enough. Coffee is good too. Other cakes are a dieters... More

We originally decided to go to Jane's for afternoon tea but after seeing the cakes in this window we soon changed our minds. We opted for a hot chocolate and a scone with jam and clotted cream and it was amazing!!! We sat upstairs and it was lovely, small and inviting. For a busy Saturday lunch we didn't wait long... Whenever we visit Whitby, which is quite often, it is a must to visit this delightful little tearoom. Very quaint with a lovely atmosphere. The cakes are to die for, my favourite being lemon meringue pie. The staff are very friendly with excellent service. Great value too. I can't wait until my next visit.

While working in the area I visited Marie Antoinette's Patisserie and sampled the best double chocolate cheese cake I've tasted! Very friendly service and worth every penny, I'll definitely be back for more!

This place seems to be of the same ilk as an establishment across the bridge with Conan Doyle connections. The till reciepts from both places have 'Let them eat cake' printed at the end of them (despite the fact this quotation is only relevant to this establishment). I make this connection between the 2 establishments as they have adopted the... More

We went here for the first time on a really busy Christmas Eve, my partner had spotted the to die for cakes in the window. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was great...lovely décor and although busy, a really pleasant place to stop for a lovely spot of lunch. I had a bagget which came with a fresh salad and... We popped in for late afternoon tea, overjoyed at the impressive cake selection and even more so when they said dogs are welcome (downstairs only). Between us, we had Oreo cookie cake, lemon meringue pie and raspberry and vanilla bourbon cream cake, all 3 were so so so good. I was tempted to get some to take back with us,... More

We must have walked past a hundred times, but stopped this time for a quick tea/coffee.. Pop in next time you're passing - the cakes looked good and the rooms upstairs are a real blast from the past..

Great coffee and cake, sweet little cafe with friendly service. A warm place to go for a nice cosy cuppa.
