We stumbled on this lovely place whilst wandering around the old cobbled streets. Ordered pots of tea and cake obviously, but wished I had ordered lemon meringue pie once I had walked past chiller to nip to the toilet and caught sight of it. Tea tasted fabulous and stayed piping hot for 3rd cup. Delicious cake and loads of choice.... More

Stayed in Whitby on holiday and decided to visit somewhere for afternoon tea. We picked this place because of it's absolute charm, situated in the older part of Whitby it looked so quaint from the outside. We were not disappointed inside either. The rooms were beautifully furnished and the staff very friendly and helpful. I was with two children and... More

After walking past this tearoom several times finally succumbed to a coffee and cakes.I had Victoria sponge cake and my husband the cream scone.both excellent as was the coffee. We even took some freshly baked scones home with us.Worth a visit but could end up going in every day to try the large array of goodies!

Visited this morning for a coffee and cake fix. As an enthusiastic home baker I was keen to see whether the cakes tasted as good as they looked ... we weren't disappointed. Scrumptious Victoria Sponge and decadent chocolate fudge were equally delicious. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the decor is very shabby chic. Highly recommended for a treat!

Came across this little tea room after admiring the cakes in the window and deciding to treat ourselves. We both had cream tea where the scones were still warm and clotted cream was perfect! We can even say it's better than some spots down in Cornwall having recently returned. The teapots were large in fact we had about 3 cups... More

We visited Whitby yesterday and were attracted to this restaurant as it looked as if it would be good. We were mistaken. We were told there was space upstairs and the three of us made our way upstairs. A waitress came a few moments later to clear a table next to us but when we asked for a menu she... More

My husband and I went to this cafe last week and had tea, coffee and home made scones. Very friendly staff and lovely food - will call in again the next time we are in the area. Fantastic cake selection. Reasonably priced too. Would recommend.

This is really an excellent little Patisserie with a lovely selection of cakes and scones. My daughter and i were only in Whitby for a couple of days but visited this establishment twice ! The staff are extremely welcoming and the decor is very quaint. The cakes are second to none, the only problem being which one to choose and... More
