Little Gem

Walked past this stunning little tea room on our way back from a day visit to Whitby. Looked beautiful from the outside, and the beautiful cakes displayed in the window were tempting me and my husband to go in there and then!! We decided to return the next day for cream teas, and my husband... read more

Myself and my partner fell in love with this place on our way down from the Abby. We only called in for a coffee. However once I saw them cakes, I just had to give them a try. I was not disappointed! The place itself was a lovely traditional tea room/ cafe with a relaxing atmosphere. We easily could have... More

Just stopped off here for a quick bite to replenish our energy levels, and very glad we did! Really quaint tea shop/cafe, only three tables downstairs but room for more upstairs. We only tried the lemon meringue pie, it was delicious but the other cakes looked equally mouthwatering. Well worth a visit.

This was our second visit to this little treasure trove so we knew we would be receiving a high standard of service. We ordered a cake and a coffee each or can of pop and cake, as there were five of us so it suited everybody's needs. We found the price and quality of the homemade cakes astounding (give or... More

Lovely tea room in quaint surroundings with lovely food and good value for money. It's a bit of a tight squeeze getting upstairs but u can always sit downstairs or outside.

Stopped here for morning tea after a visit up to the Abbey. Very quirky layout we had a table upstairs. To all the staff a big thank you your cakes are superb. Staff very friendly and the prices are extremely reasonable. Thoroughly recommended.

Very quaint little coffee shop filled with character, amazing cakes and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend here - especially the Oreo Cake. Just to the thing to rejuvenate you after walking up and down all those abbey steps.

We had two yummy pieces of Victoria sponge and some drinks here a few weeks ago! The cake was beautiful and the cafe accommodated our little one's buggie whilst we ate! Only comment would be that I didn't see a high chair although they may have them upstairs?
