We enjoyed our meals here, one of us had pizza and the other rissotto. The restaurant is very smart but the seating policy is odd. In an almost empty restaurant another couple were placed at the table right next to ours! Also we were seated very near the back of the restaurant, this seemed odd given how many tables were... More

It's hard to know where to start with this one! I guess it's the sort of place that can get away with dismal service because in a resort it has enough footfall from new customers all the time. Why people would go back if the service we received was representative is anyone's guess. It wasn't even universally bad, just mostly... More

Called in on the off chance of getting a meal as most places had closed at 915pm, which I thought was a bit early on a Sat night to be closed. I was so glad we called in I had a lasagna which was delicious. I will defiantly return.

Booked a table for 8pm for 14 people,we were running slightly late but didnt see it necessary tht we recieved a phone call from Cosa Nostra at 8.04 asking where we were,we arrived at 8.07 nd were shown to our table by a very grumpy manager,Throughout our whole meal we were constantly being watched by the staff, and manager who... Called in to enquire if still serving as was quite late on sunday, they made us very welcome and were very attentive. Food was delicious and arrived fast, portions were huge and we were able to take home our leftovers.... Overall price was very reasonable Despite being only ones in restaurant was never pressurised to hurry and leave, very impressed-we... More

We visited Cosanostra on our first night in Whitby, having seen the reviews, and also had it recommended by the owners of the guesthouse we stayed in. The service was fantastic, there were a lot of staff so we were served quickly, and everything was cleared away as soon as we had finished. We had olives to start which were... More

This is the third time we have visited Cosanostra and the service and food quality was faultless. If you like fish I can thoroughly recommend the Sea Bass which comes with a delicious caper sauce - just perfect. The rest of our party had the traditional Italian fare and everyone was delighted with their choice. Everywhere I go to eat... More

My wife and I visited Cosa Nostra on Saturday 6th April after seeing good reviews on tripadvisor. The food was nice enough but we felt like we had been stuck at an upstairs table and pretty much forgotten. We had to ask for pretty much everything, no parmesan cheese offered with pasta until we asked (come on this is an... More

Love this place. We went on a Friday night and it was quite busy (recommend booking in advance). We shared a Garlic bread with mozzarella to start (full size pizza bread - so more than enough) and followed that with Pollo Al Funghi and Pollo Romana. Both excellent. All washed down with a bottle of wine. Highly recommended.
