The real deal

Totally authentic Italian from the food to the service. They couldn't have been more attentive and polite. All four starters weird top notch but the garlic mushrooms, well, I didn't want them to end. Lovely creamy risotto, tasty pasta and a whopping big pizza loaded with everything. The lads... read more

One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Excellent menu and beautifully cooked. Had our taste buds dancing. Staff were friendly, but not over bearing. Can't wait for our next visit.

Good size portions of well prepared, fresh and tasty food. Both starters and mains were all good. The only gripe and it is petty is a younger member of staff hovering a bit waiting to pounce on the dishes. This is really irrelevant ad on the whole it was an excellent dining experience.

Excellent Italian food. My husband and I have eaten here often and will always come back for more. The service is really good and it has a lovely atmosphere. We like the duck and the lamb dishes especially.

Lovely Italian very polite helpful staff nothing to much trouble, garlic bread is wonderful really thin and crisy just how I like it. Spaghetti bolognese is beautiful sauce just right. No really loud off putting Italian music which I hate just a really lovely bubbly atmosphere. Second visit came here last May for our first meal of our first holiday... More

Not been to Whitby before and we were staying for a few nights, with our last evening planned the others were going to be a bit of a "see what we can find" adventure, if nothing else then we knew we would get fish and chips. On our second evening we walked in to Cosa Nostra on spec and asked... More

Lovely food, good service and authentic atmosphere. We really enjoyed our experience. Would return for sure. I had a chicken and Gorgonzola dish which was the best plate of Italian food I have had in a while.

Every visit to Whitby has to include a meal at Cosa Nostra where everything is pretty close to perfect! Tasty nibbles with balsamic and olive dip and every Italian dish you can wish for, all washed down with a great wine from the mother country, hand picked by the management. They have great days and top days, but never been... More

Difficult to review thoroughly as all our party had pizza with the exception of my young daughter who had a children's pasta dish. What is there to say? The pizzas were sound, the service fine and atmosphere cheerful and informal. The bill was reasonable and I would certainly return - possibly trying something a tad more adventurous in order to...
