Great pizzas

Pizza fantastic. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, not the one referred to in other reviews. Boxed up our left overs to enjoy later. Would recommend.

Some of the food was lovely and some seemed to be reheated from frozen or maybe shop bought, The wine and service was perfect but could have done with the food being a bit better, too generic.

Quite a large restaurant on two levels. We arrived at 1930 having booked a table. On arrival we were shown to our table by the head waiter/enforcer?.He is to customer relations,as is an iceberg to the Titanic, not good.(I have noticed recently that other reviewers have adverse comments on his customer services as well)The food here was excellent, well presented and well cooked,I especially... We booked in Cosanostra for a Friday night meal it was busy with a large party but it had a good atmosphere. Menu's came and drinks order taken quickly, we ordered a cheesy garlic bread to come with it which it did which was great. We both ordered starters mussels and goats cheese both portions were huge but very well... More

We called in on Saturday afternoon and to begin with we were the only diners in the large high-ceilinged restaurant which was a bit strange but we needn't have worried as a few more tables quickly filled up and gave the place a nice buzz. Service was efficient, albeit a little brusque by the guy who we assumed to be... More

A Group of about 30 friends and work colleagues enjoyed a meal together last night. However, the mood of the evening was dampened by the unhelpful, curt manner by which the Manager initially spoke to us. Customer Service comes First. There are plenty of Excellent places to eat and competition is high in Whitby. Manners cost nothing!

On visiting Whitby we decided on Italian. The waitress offered a table under the stairs near the toilets opposite a row of highchairs. Why ? The place was nearly empty. We asked for a table near the window. The staff were rude and surly. The food was nice. Not a pleasant experience we won't be back.

We've been to Cosa Nostra a few times and have always had good meals. Yesterday was one of the best. As a starter we shared Sicilian garlic bread - there is plenty for two! For mains I had lamb cutlets with saute potatoes and grilled peppers whilst my wife had moules marinieres. The lamb was a generous portion and tasted... More

This is our second time here and still very enjoyable. It was very busy for a Tuesday night, a good sign of it's popularity. The garlic pizza starter was delicious and large. My pasta with salmon was delicious although they forgot to offer parmesan, when I asked for some he accidentally spilt it over the table but didn't wipe it... More

Whether with friends or kids, we always visit this restaurant when in Whitby and have yet to encounter anything other than gorgeously flavoured food served by warm and attentive staff. Highly recommended are the garlic breads, pizza and fillet steak. We had an amazing Gavi di Gavi last night too. Italian flavour in spades. Bella bella!
