We are a small unlicensed eatery, serving just pie mash peas and gravy. We welcome dogs and their owners but have a dog free area upstairs. We don't have any Alcohol, but you are more than welcome to bring your own or pop over the road to the Endeavour pub who will let you bring a nice cold pint back to your food.If we do something wrong or make a mistake, please let us know or contact me through the messaging service and i will put it right.I believe you should be able to have a filling quality meal for a decent price.

Makes a good change from fish and chips

Pie, mash, peas and loads of gravy. Tremendous. Around half a dozen pies to choose from. We tried the steak pie and lamb pie. Both pretty damn good, steak shaded it in both our books. No alcohol licence but if you fancy a beer you can nip over the road to the Endeavour Pub and bring a pint back... read more

Ive been here before and it was lovely. After bragging to my friends how good it was, we were disappointed and i left red faced. Mash was bland, pie wasnt upto scratch, order a tea and didnt get it until i finished my meal. Asked for a single takeaway pie and were spoken to very rudely and denied it even... More

Ate here after a recommendation, we weren't disappointed!!! There was a range of pies on offer, all with mash, peas and gravy served on a tin plate. Couldn't believe the speed of service and they were DELICIOUS. The cafe is themed round WW2 with memorabilia around and wartime music in the background - bring an appetite though coz the portions... In the heart of Whitby is this little treasure ...you don't want to miss it. A choice of individual pies served in tin bowls with mash peas and gravy set in a beautiful old building playing war time music. I had Romany pie but there were loads I wanted to try. We'll definitely be back. Oh I think it was... More

If you love a pie then you cannot miss out on the pastry cased delights that the Humble Pie and Mash shop has to offer. Me and my pie eating partner agreed that this was the best pie based meal we had ever snaffled! We both opted for the 'pie meal' which came with delicious creamy mash, peas and scrummy... More

Our first visit to pie n mash after hearing such good reviews and we were delighted! After seconds of walking in there was a pie infront of us, very quick and very friendly service. There were lots of delicious pies to choose from it was hard to pick, extra mash and gravy offered whilst eating, what more could you want.... More

After having seen the reviews on here and wandered past on numerous occasions (usually on my way to Mister Chips) I decided to give Humble Pie n Mash a try, and I'm glad that I did. I'm a veggie but I was well catered for, the Homity Pie being a particular standout (I ate here 3 days running!) and the... More
