We attempted to eat at this pie and mash shop, but we were soon put off by a dog sat on a chair at the next table,as much as i like dogs they should not be in eating areas, let alone at the table,i have been in the catering trade for over 30 years shame on this owner.

My husband and I went here for a meal on Saturday night whilst on a weekend away to Whitby. What a place steeped in history just within the building. loved this place. Huge range of pies, it was good, and very good value. atmosphere nice, in a really old characterful building. we would definitely return if in whitby for a few days again. service quick and friendly. brilliant!
