A return visit for us after visiting twice last October. Had lunch here while out for the day on the NYMR. Another great lunch. We thought the two young staff (one male/one female) were excellent! We had chicken pie and steak pie and couldn't fault it.

Great place - will definitely return. Great steak and stout pie with crispy short crust and rammed full of filling. Fast food as it should be. Very comfortable for those of us with kids and a dog.

A great little place for when you are bored of chips, excellent well stuffed pies, all at less than £7 per head, shame they didn't do little pies for kids but if you have a couple of kids you can split them, we just have the one so she had sausages and mash and loved it.

Lovely wholesome meal in an establishment that does exactly what it says on the tin (or the enamel plate if you like!!!). At Humble Pie'n'mash you get exactly that. A tasty hot pie, home made mash from real potatoes (hence the occasional lump- it's not called Humble pie'n'pureed potato) hot tasty gravy which you can go back for more of... More

We've never managed to visit this gem apart from when it very first opened as it's always full! This time we decided to join the queue of hopefuls (far more social than The Magpie queue) and chance our luck! Amazed how efficient the staff are when faced with a full parlour within the first five minutes! No sign of a... More
