We are a small unlicensed eatery, serving just pie mash peas and gravy. We welcome dogs and their owners but have a dog free area upstairs. We don't have any Alcohol, but you are more than welcome to bring your own or pop over the road to the Endeavour pub who will let you bring a nice cold pint back to your food.If we do something wrong or make a mistake, please let us know or contact me through the messaging service and i will put it right.I believe you should be able to have a filling quality meal for a decent price.

Always good!

Whenever we go to Whitby we make a point of going here for lunch. Service is friendly enough, food comes out almost immediately and is always really good. Even nicer when you get to sit upstairs, but they'll only allow that if downstairs is already full up.

It has a small dining area but don't let that put you off! Fantastic food, decent price and friendly staff. Can't wait to visit again!

We ate here on our second night in Whitby as we didn't fancy fish and chips so it made a great change! Pies are delicious and the mash was perfect! If you like an alcoholic drink you can take your own or pop over the road to the pub and take your pint back. Décor is olde worlde a perfect... More

Lovely little eatery based on the 40's and takes you back in time to eating Pie and mash on enamel plates. Lots of mash and pies to die for with plenty of choice of pie filling. Very tasty and well presented and will make you want to re-visit to try a different pie of choice. The staff are friendly and... More

Do something simple but really well and you will be busy. Pie & mash done to perfection. Get there early it's a small dining room but worth any wait you may have. When we're next in the Whitby area we'll be back

I am not a big pie eater but I love mash. My partner loves his pies. We had seen this place a few times but never went in. We did yesterday. We've been here a couple of times over the last few months and had an excellent, good value lunch on both occasions. It does what it says on the tin and does it very well. Lovely, large pies with a variety of fillings, served with buttery mash, peas and gravy. I've had the steak and stout one on both occasions... More

I don't even feel guilty for eating pie at 12.10, it was that good! The quaint little shop is cosy and warm and there's quite a selection of pies. We had the two veggie pies and they were both delicious. The waitress was friendly and polite and didn't even mention that we entered the restaurant before they were technically open... More

We went looking for this place following reviews and we like pies! We had 4 pies for 2 adults and 2 kids. Service prompt and piping hot. Quaint surroundings but compact. Worth a visit.
