Visited on a Friday lunch time. lovely and quaint inside, excellent food prices. We had ham & mustard sandwich and a toastie, all well presented. Lovely side salad, crisps ok but wish they were plain and not flavoured, but despite all of that the service was great too!

We went in for a brew and cake to get out of the cold. It was exactly what I wanted. Fun with tasty food / drinks.

What a find. My husband and I came across this lovely, historic, quaint restaurant on our day in Whitby. It was very busy, but somewhere to relax with very friendly staff. We both had very enjoyable sandwiches and a good cup of tea - I had Wensleydale cheese with chilli tomato chutney in granary bread and husband had piri piri... More

The place is fantastic in terms of decor and price. Downsides for our visit were; 1. No soya milk 2. We ordered two bacon sandwiches, after ordering we were then told they only had one bread roll so would they mind one being in a ciabatta (strange that delivery hadn't come by 10am). We were then served with two bacon... More

Totally unexpected atmosphere, like walking into a book. Lovely place to come for lunch and cakes are lovely. It's tight and unusual. Your not likely to get a buggy in but I could spend all day in here.

We used to call in every time we visited the town & popped in on a Monday after the very busy goth weekend. Top floor was closed so only downstairs to serve & wasn't that busy. Yet service took ages for just a dessert & a toasted stottie. Never experienced such long delay before so wondering if things have gone... More

It seems small but there are backrooms to sit in and dogs are welcome. It was a nice cuppa and the chocolate fudge cake was gorgeous :-)

The scones here are to die for! Service could be better, staff forgot to give us our water, once we asked for it, there were bits floating in it (not sure if it was deliberate or not) but we asked for another one and it was fine. Other than that, I can't fault it, the food was great. Like the... More
