Quaint and quirky, this coffee house offers Whitby tourist something a little bit different. Other than the themed decor; we were welcomed by friendly staff and served delicious food at really good value prices. Cream tea, with a huge scone, proper clotted cream and strawberry jam only set us back £3.60. They also sell fresh coffee from Robin Hood's Bay... More

We all had a Yorkshire cream tea. A huge, homemade scone with jam and clotted cream and a pot of tea for £3.60. Such good value. Lovely, quaint atmosphere.

We stopped in here for a break from the heat, and we're glad we did. The milkshakes were incredible and certainly not expensive. They seemed to have a good range of food, but we did not stay for lunch. The only downside to this place was it was a little cramped. We were in the back room due to having... More

Loved Sherlock' s coffee house, so authentic of the period. Really cozy atmosphere, lovely and very attentive staff. A really good varied menu ( heart warming home baking). For a quick bite in the afternoon its a definite must.

The title says it all - forget Costa - this is a real coffee shop with home made cakes and scones and pleasant and efficient staff to boot. About half the price as Costa but twice as good - what are you waiting for!

Passed many times but did not realise more tables than can be seen from the entrance hence always seemed full. Had sandwiches and cake as they did not do an afternoon tea, all very tasty and well presented. The old world decor is delightful and gives a lovely atmosphere to sit and relax while enjoying tea. Cakes are fantastic and wonderful... More

The service was very abrupt and it took a long time to arrive. The place was nice but in need of a good clean. All in all did not enjoy our visit .
