In my top 5.

There was a cue but it was worth the wait. The only problem is deciding on the size of the F & C. I live in Cambridgeshire but would gladly travel there for a meal!

My daughter was home from Australia so she was craving fish and chips. 8 of us had fish and chips there but a we found the fish to be a bit greasy. The chips were lovely and dry. The soft drinks were a bit overpriced.

Nice friendly restaurant in Whitby. Staff delighted to serve you and the quality of the fish is excellent, fresh and pleading. Good quality food and service at a reasonable price.

Felt like we were an inconvenience, no atmosphere, waitress could hardly be bothered so we left without eating, but we have previously eaten here before and it was lovely.

Lovely restaurant, great decor and apparently best fish n chips! I had the vegetarian lasagna salad that was nice and warm, good portion. The others had cod n chips with mushy peas, the fish filet is nice and thick, juicy and the mushy peas are very full and rich, with chips cooked to perfection, just add a little vinegar and... More

I love to eat fish and chips outside at the coast. However the gale force winds in December made it impossible, so after a look at the options for sitting in we decided on Hadley’s. We were not disappointed! Great quality tasty fish, chips and mushy peas served with tea, bread and butter. I couldn’t fault it, excellent value. We... More

After many years of eating here I will never return again. my partners fish was somet and nowt!! No texture, no body no depth of flavour. We were upstairs....no atmosphere and no view . The price was outragous, £25 bill for 2 medium portions of fish and chips with peas and a coffee each. Afterwards we priced up other restaurants... More

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to the famous "Whitby" Fish and Chip lunch. Even though it was winter there was still plenty of choice of where we could try supposedly good fish. We decided to go to Hadleys which stated award winners 2014 + 2015. Well the customer service was excellent we were greeted with a welcoming... More

Brilliant. Hadleys is just the best there is and has been for the 20 - odd years we've been going there.
