Absolutely bloomin lush!!

Well I was a party of 10 to visit and easily accomodated. Beautiful restaurant and what you would call "posh fish n chips!" I'm a northerner so they could be classed as expensive but along with yummy mushy peas, bread and butter and Yorkshire tea, it really doesn't get better than this! Wouldn't... read more

A return visit for some great fish and chips. We have tried others in Whitby over a number of years. take it from us these are the best and great service. We drive over 60 mile every couple of weeks or so even in winter just for a treat, awesome. be warned the large cod is LARGE. Ken and Sandra

Called in there yesterday with husband after a day out to Harrogate, it was freezing out side so wanted something hot, lovely atmosphere very tentative and polite staff, quick service we both had fish and chips and so happy if you have a smaller appetite you can get small portions which was great, it came with pot of tea and... There may be other places with more extensive menus but if it's fish n chips you're after, and who isn't in Whitby, then look no further than Hadleys, fresh white flaky fish, crisp batter, lovely chips, gorgeous Yorkshire caviar ( mushy peas to you ) all washed down with Yorkshire Tea,I've died and gone to heaven!

After drinks in the Dolphin public house overlooking harbour's swing bridge on a wet and windy day we decided to cheer ourselves up with some hot food. First impressions of the Hadleys, looks welcoming, clean and is well decorated. We were seated upstairs and had tastey fish and chips with a glass of wine each. Overall it forfilled our requirements... More

This restaurant was recommended by friends and we weren't disappointed, service was to a very good standard, and the fish and chip tea deal was delicious and worth every penny, we left full and satisfied, this restaurant is well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed. Next time in Whitby this will be our restaurant of choice.

Served with a slice of lemon, bread and butter, choice of sauces a pot of Yorkshire tea. I am always happy with this place and visit at least twice a year. You... More

If you're looking for a traditional fish and chip cafe, this place is for you. The service is prompt, the fish and chips of good quality. My only slight negative is that it is a bit pricey for the amount, but then I was full from only a small portion! Yummy!

love it at Hadleys, chose this for my birthday meal on 26th March with my hubby Graham. Love Whitby it is one of my favourite places and usually eat in one or two places, Hadleys is always one of my first choices.
