I did not enjoy my food and would have scored Passage to India as poor if others in our group hadn't felt I was being too hard. I have eaten local food in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Indian Quarter of Singapore and Indian food at restaurants in and around Coventry & Birmingham and elsewhere in UK. The Prawn... We are an indian family visting from Manchester so we decided to have an indian meal. The restaurant was very busy. However, we got seated in good time. For us we've found the following: (1) We had ordered coke and sprite -it came 'flat' as water. So we requested drinks to be changed but on arrival, it was flat as... More

We ordered take away from them a few nights ago and I first of all want to point out the food was lovely. The problem was the awful service from the staff. I rang my order through, call took five minutes as the woman on the other end seemed to have no clue on many of the dishes I was... More

I had previously rated this restaurant highly having visited it many times but we went last week and it has gone down hill sadly. The staff are still polite but on our recent visit we ordered butter chicken that was actually korma and when we told the waiter it was taken away only to reappear with a swirl of cream.... More

Me and my partner visited the passage to India on Sunday when we stayed over in Whitby, I ordered onion bahjis which were quite tasteless and I was very disappointed with them, my main however which was the chicken korma was lovely except the chicken was a little too over cooked making it quite tough and dry.. The service was... More

We were recently staying in Whitby for a week and decided to try a take away with a view to dining in the restaurant later in the week. The order arrived on time, polite delivery guy but the food wasn't good. Both the dishes tasted the same, I had garlic chilli chicken which is a hot dish but it was... More

Went for a meal with my partner, it was really busy in the restaurant but we were seated straight away, the food was exquisite absolutely wonderful! The service was fantastic. They really have all aspects from service to food down to a tee. Will definitely be returning.
