Nice meal

Called for a meal on our weekend trip to Whitby. It was busy but we were shown straight to a table. Enjoyed very tasty starters and main courses, the portions were very genouous and well cooked. Service was good and prices reasonable, would recommend.

The service was very poor, we waited a while for our starters, which didn't arrive together, approximately 2 minutes apart. Then we were told on 2 occasions 10 minutes apart that our main course would be just 2 minutes. The waiter brought the plates but they were cold, then the main course arrived, again 2mins apart. However the food was... More

After a couple of days of traditional Whitby fare, we were desperate for a change. Reviews were good, so we went Indian. We didn't book - a large restaurant on a very wet wintry evening, who would be out? It was packed but staff, even though rushed off their feet, were wonderful. We had a drink at bar while waiting.... We have just had a great eating experience at this restaurant. Very attentive staff, food superb and enjoyed talking to Azad Hussain, the owner, who is quite frankly a lovely man doing a very good job. Go there - we would highly recommend this place.

We had read good reviews on the internet so decided to have a take away delivered, very disappointed, with the food, my wife's dish was ok nothing more mine was tasteless and the carton it came in had leaked in the bag, best part was the chips, very disappointed with what on the menu sounded a nice dish, wouldn't bother... Visited 25th Jan 2016, decor contemporary , atmosphere a little bland, service good but food average. Both dishes we choose could certainly do with a better quality of meat. That said the price was reasonable.

Had a meal here on New Years Day without a booking. Surprised at the size of the place as it looks quite small from outside. Sat at a nice table but declined the poppadoms. Ordered starters and main with a bottle of their house wine, all delicious, service fine (they were very busy) although I did find the waiter hovering... More

Four of us visited the restaurant on a Friday night and were treated to a lovely meal. We had poppadoms for starters and a portion of pakora. The poppadoms were nicely cooked but the pakora was more like onion bhaji. The mains we ordered were, two jalfrezis, a madras and the special tikka mix. All were cooked to perfection and... More

We were staying in Robin Hoods Bay and drove to Whitby for the day. It was my husband's birthday and he chose his fav meal.....curry. When we asked a barmaid about takeaways she said there was only one curry house in Whitby but it was awful! Environmental Health had been out etc. But we still decided to try it. It... More
