After walking past this place loads of times, decided to go and eat there. You don't book a table you just go. Luckily we got a table, a small wooden booth affair very tight if your not too thin. Ordered some burgers and ribs. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was hot, alas the burger was very... More

This is one of the great places to eat in Norwich. I've visited Captain America's on and off for over 30 years and its still pretty much the same, which is a great place to eat for a very reasonable price and a decent sized meal. Never had a bad meal here and the service has always been very good... More

Myself and my partner have been visiting here for years always had a lovely experience. We thought we would visit for my birthday was a Friday night quite quiet thought it was strange as normally very busy. We sat down a waitress come over to take order for drinks she didn't seem confidant one bit! She couldn't answer any of... More

I took my 12 year old son to Capt A's today for lunch and was bitterly disappointed. I was 12 when I first visited Capt A's in the 70's when they had virtually no competition locally apart from Zak's. Whilst you could describe the decor as nostalgic, and I would prefer to call it tired and grotty, even my so... More

We entered Captain America's with a degree of trepidation due to the range of reviews! The decor has received critism in a number of reviews and I would agree that the first impressions going up the stairs are not good! I understand that the decor is kept as is as a memorial to the restaurants founder, while this is laudable... More

Myself and 3 friends went in search of a quick lunch in Norwich City Centre. Everywhere was packed with long wait lists for a table, it was probably a saturday, and there's not an abundance of restaurants in Norwich. Walking past Captain America's doorway I got a whiff of nostalgia and the sudden urge to see 'that car' coming out... More

We used to go to Captain A's 30 years ago, when we I was a teenager, as a family treat. Then we rediscovered the place 5 years ago and and nothing seems to have changed, and that is a good thing. When we went last month, my burger was really beautifully cooked. The portions are a good size and my... More

Been coming here for years but what a disappointment! It just not the same, shame as it use to be a fantastic place! Now have to find somewhere else!

We had been recommended this place by family, we visited with our one year old and hit our first problem - the staircase is very narrow and I had to haul the pram upstairs. I should have checked this first to be fair. We were told to leave the pram on the landing which I wasn't delighted about so asked... More

Had lunch today and once again it didn't disappoint. Great burger and fries, cooked to perfection. The service was friendly, efficient and prompt. Well done, we'll be back.
