Description: Looking for wow factor? Look no further than Pulse Café and Bar, a stylish offering from the team behind St Benedict’s Restaurant and Pinocchio’s. Café by day, bar-cum-restaurant by night, Pulse is an uber-cool hangout popular with young professionals and students alike. The warehouse style interior boasts hulking wood beams, clapperboard ceiling and antique brick walls, all set off by contemporary furniture which could well have come from our favourite high end interiors boutique. When summer comes though, don’t miss the relaxing courtyard, filled with flowers. Using fine organic produce the kitchen conjures up a world of delicious vegetarian food which will leave you wondering if you really need to eat meat ever again.

We were regulars at Pulse which was almost always excellent, very sad to hear it had closed... A new cafe/restaurant has now opened in the same location but under new management/owners. We have been there recently in its first week after opening (in November 2013) and we are about to try it again - I will report back! NB we... More

Alas, this excellent vegetarian and vegan cafe/restaurant/bar has had to close as the owners were refused a renewal of their lease. they have run successfully, very popular , for many years. We went there for lunch today, found it closed and later found out the facts on the Web. There is no equivalent in Norwich.

Food is thought out, even for a meat eater the food and environment is refreshing. Friendly staff. Not buggy friendly, so take a sling! Gluten free food too! <3

Well thought out menu that is not over ambitious but is excellent with what it offers. Good sized portions. Very tasty and varied food and friendly staff. My wife, who is not vegetarian, was very impressed. Good value.

This place is great for vegetarians, the portion sizes are very generous and the friendly staff are more than happy to let you take some food home with you. I have been a few times and always chose the enchiladas, delicious!

The food is just delicious and the staff so obliging, but only when wrested off the telephone and from chatting, otherwise it would have been a 5 star. It would be great to have been greeted and not waited until the fourth customer came in until a member of staff (of three) said on their phone "a customer has come... More

We're on holiday in Norwich and we've been to Pulse for lunch twice now, as the food is just lovely. The first time we went in there were barely any tables they were so busy, but despite this we were seated and served by lovely cheerful staff straight away and didn't have to wait long for the food at all....
