First impressions do count, when we arrived the waitress failed to create a good impression no offer of drinks whilst we looked at work the menu. Starters whilst nice very over priced, enjoyed main course of tuna until I found the tuna had not been cooked fully raw in the middle. Deserts were good. Wine was over priced.Over priced at... More

In the interests of fairness and balance, we booked a table for two for my wife's birthday at short notice, only securing a table by virtue of a cancellation and it turned out to be a very busy night at the restaurant with large group bookings etc, but our overall experience was mixed, verging on disappointing, very good in parts,... Pub/wine bar located in the older part of Norwich. Booked for 8.30 table not ready when we arrived as previous clients had not vacated. However had drink at Bar, were given menus. Our order was taken and by the time the food was ready, so was our table. There is a bar food menu available (except Saturdays) and a la... More

This was our first visit to the restaurant and had come recommended from various friends. First thoughts were this place must be good its rammed!! The menu was good and the wine list was amazing. Unfortunately my starter was inedible and my main was not much better, however to the manage/owner and waitresses credit they handled the situation impeccably. They... More

4 of us had a fabulous dinner last night. My starter of scallops with arancini was perfect in size, presentation and taste. My sirloin steak main course was also very tasty and the white chocolate panacotta was really delicious. The others on the table had crab, hallumi and belly pork starters which they all enjoyed followed by tuna which was... More

This is my second visit within the year and I do like the way that the restaurant has used the original shoe factory premises. Also, the staff are well trained and very attentative so the place does have the basis of a thriving business. However, whilst the food does include all the ingredients that are spelt out in the menu,... More

Visited for my wife's birthday, they put a candle in her desert which was a nice touch. Food and wine were both excellent. We would have liked a bit more choice on the menu. The desert (apple tart and burnt milk icecream) was a little dry and the icecream under churned. Nice atmosphere and good service.

We had a great meal, however a couple of the dishes had by our group were not so good. I would say this is good in the main but can be inconsistent.

Opened some 25 odd years ago the Last been a consistent favourite of ours. Under the same stewardship throughout. Yesterday was no exception. Met with friends and enjoyed a lovely leisurely lunch. We were the first to arrive and the last to leave. Faultless food and service. Norwich is lucky to have such an unusual restaurant.
