Went to this restaurant for an evening meal a couple of years ago, when visiting Norwich, and was thrilled with everything. Couldn't wait to take my husband there for a late lunch, but we were both disappointed on several counts. The waitress showed us to a downstairs table but when we said we wanted to eat upstairs she was most... More

This restaurant is situated in a lovely building in the Royal Arcade and the decor is appropriate to the building, even the loos are very attractive! The food and service is also good. The last time I visited all pasta dishes were only a fiver so it was good value although we spent the saving on posh wine.

Was looking for somewhere for lunch and happened upon Jamie's Italian down the royal arcade, as this was first visit to Norwich wasn't sure where anything was. Was not disappointed, excellent meal, friendly staff, especially Edith! My other half had squid & mussel spaghetti, (which was black) and said it was best pasta digs he had ever had. Thought it... My family visited the restaurant on Saturday evening, we had a table of 8, Most of the food was good, but a chicken dish was awful it was like a lump of fat. yes they did change it, but the replacement was not great. They did refund the price of the cheapest dessert we had as compensation. The staff are... More

Norwich is such an interesting Market town and Jamie's Italian located in the Royal Arcade is a gem for couples or large grouops celebrating special occasions. Our server was beyond excellent helping to describe and recommend food and wine pairing. There is not a bad dish on the menu. Recommend.

We chose to eat at Jamie's for lunch as they has their £5 meal offer. We were seated downstairs as we had our baby son with us. The waitress got us a high chair, and i must say it was a very good and sturdy high chair that was actually clean (so many restaurants give us dirty highchairs). It seems... More

I actually think this restaurant is less than average because none of the professed values of the namesake are to be seen. Nary a green to be plated, a salad that was less salad and mostly Parmesan, a veggie board that was mostly cheese or dripping in oil. Kind of good bread. This not the place to come if you... More

Called in for lunch mid week and dropped on to a pasta for £5 deal which was great for a start. The venue was nice although, as it was school holidays, it did get quite noisy a large number of families with young children came in. Service was prompt, polite and helpful. My family all enjoyed their meals (Mains and... More

A special Birthday treat was planned. The table we were promised was taken when we arrived(on time), The service was abrupt and indifferent and the main I ordered was floating in chilli seeds and topped with a sad salad. My guest had a crab pasta with no crab. All in all a complete disaster!

A Monday afternoon in August. smiles at the entrance and 12 tables present background music, not Italian. been given the menu but no signs of a smile, hardly an eye contact quick service, order in 5 minutes Artisan Italian Breads and Tagliatelle Bolognese. Breads meant to be a starter (it's among the nibbles on the menu) but been given after... More
