A party of us went to the red lion for lunch after booking the day before, we were told we could not enter as the pub had just been taken over by another company, they let us in after 12 noon to be told only carvey was available, to be honest the food was very good with a whole turkey... More

What use to be a nice local pub serving good food is now an awful place, staff are unhelpful, and no atmosphere in the pub on Saturday lunchtime, probably because the food is so bad. I ordered Chicken breast in what was described as a mushroom sauce. The chicken breast was not even 1cm think and had the texture of... More

If you want a good carvery the Red Lion is the best place to eat, with lamb included in the selection of meats this time round, made it more excellent, good service from the staff they are always cheerful and friendly, would highly recommend.

As a family we LOVE a carvery and we go back to this one again and again and again. It is consistently good and always has chipolatas which is an added bonus. The service is good, the ambience is good and the food is great. The only downside is that you can't book, however we usually go mid week as... More

Tried to book a table for four people, only to be told they don't take bookings for less than six people! Crazy turning customers away in this way. Won't try to go there again.

The Red Lion at Drayton .... Please do not be fooled by this dump. Although not expensive , we did not expect our bacon burgers to have fridge cold bacon shooved inside the buns. When it was cooked we can only guess !! As compensation I was offered a glass of lemonade (for my daughter). Real slap food cooked many... More

Called in for a carvery after walking with friends at West Runton. We regularly eat here and can never fault the quality of the food.It is always piping hot,the selection is always good and very tasty. The meats are good, vegetables plentiful and varied, and overall, very good value for money.Would recommend for a good meal, especially following a good walk.

The bar staff were very rude, we sat down with our drinks. While sitting down we noticed staff members looking over and talking, as if about us, we were then asked to move to another part of the establishment, where whilst working through I noticed dirty plates left unaccompanied on tables and even on the bar! From having previous hospitality... More

Chips came after I'd finished my main meal, and fish goujons under cooked and bland, female chef on the carvery was rude and ill presented. Male waiter good but otherwise service average to poor. Would not come back and not recommend.
