Very friendly atmosphere, butchers sausages and homemade bread. I can't recommend enough on a Sunday morning with a hangover

Consistently great food, the chef is excellent and the portions are good and food always tasty. Great selection of teas and beverages. Yes it is a little bit quirky and jumbled but it makes a great laid back and characterful alternative to the bland, chemical, commercial eateries. It has soul and if you're uptight about having to have matching teacups... More

Miserable, grumpy staff. Dirty tables and awful food. You can find much better close by and you won't pay as much.

Amazing food, really incredible breakfasts and ciabatta bread toast (there's a reason it's the Fry Up Inspector's favourite!). And people below who are complaining about the furniture theme... really? It's designed to look like a 70's front room. That's the theme. Does that need to be explained? Honestly? Odd. My only complaint about the place is that every time I'm... More

Head to House for the best breakfast in the city, the place is always packed out with people, but you should find a space somewhere, the staff are lovely and service is quick. Just the job to sort out you're hangover or if you are very hungry, the portions are great, you will most likely struggle to eat it all.... More

We popped in during a visit to Norwich and first impressions weren't that good...sticky tables in need of a wash and tired decor. We initially tried to sit on the couches as the tables were full and they're definitely in need of replacing (a table became vacant just after we'd sat down and getting out of the couch was a... Reading through the last couple of reviews I wonder if I was at the same cafe. The service was excellent as was the food, imaginative and creative, and, those cakes....fabulous. The decor is easy, yes there were toys around but personally that worked for me as I had a child with me. Well done House, I will return.

I had high hopes of this cafe having heard good things about it locally. Unfortunately I was quickly disappointed upon entry. The cafe is very dark and quite hot and looks like it needs a good clean. It was hard to tell how to order but quickly we realised we had to queue up.The staff seemed fed up & disinterested.... More
