A mecca for real ale fans

This amazing backstreet pub features a wide range of ales, on hand pull and gravity pour, in a traditional atmosphere. It's a drinkers' pub, for connoisseurs really, of no great interest to those without a desire to try a new brew. However, it does serve as a reminder of what drinking pubs used to... read more

This pub is a must for ale fans, with a huge selection of beers including a couple of their own. It's fairly small so can get very busy, but well worth a visit if you want to try some unusual ales.

No visit to Norwich is complete without calling in at the Fat Cat. It's like a full on beer festival every day of the week. Superb selection of beer and some interesting ciders all well kept in a good old english pub.

No its not a restaurant but it is probably the best real ale pub in the UK! Its an old fashioned no frills corner pub that is still much as it was years ago - but - its range of real ales is incredible. I have lost count how many but about 12 on hand pumps with a similar number... More

No frills, just a great selection of well kept beers and a lovely ambiance. The perfect place to go with friends for a pint and a natter, it is never empty. You'll find old boys having a half alongside students having their first pint away from home. My favourite pub. Oh, and the menu, pork pie with mustard and pork... More

The title says it all. Cheers Colin. It would be seven if you could get Woodfordes to redo Phoenix XXX.

This pub is what pubs used to be like, a fantastic range of real ales, including the Fat Cat's own real ales, there is always lively banter and a friendly atmosphere and there is even food (if you are interested in that kind of thing) Top marks Fat Cat, a must visit!

This is not a restaurant: it is one of the best pubs in the United Kingdom. Staff, selection of beers and general ambience. That's why it is always full of people of all ages. Food comprises tasty pork pies and a selection of filled rolls.
