Cold overcooked food, overpriced, scruffy un knowledgable waiter, and a cold and dead atmosphere at 7:30 on Thursday evening says it all really! Oh and don't get me started on the state of the ladies loo (both of them) not necessarily unclean but grotty and unsightly! Oh and people arriving for speed dating pretty much killed off any last hope... More

If I had read Paul L's review before our visit I don't think I would have booked this restaurant for my daughter's birthday meal last Thursday. We arrived and shown to a nice table in the window. I asked where the Ladies were located and was directed, unfortunately the light bulb in the ladies (only one cubicle) was strobing and... More

Checked online to see if Farmer Browns was open and there was no mention of a closure so decided to meet friends there for a birthday lunch. Arrived to be told the restaurant was closed for a private function. Deeply irritating as it doesn't take any time to post it on their website. Won't return even though we have never... More

Myself and my partner decided to try farmer browns for lunch last Wednesday and what a great choice it was We were greeted by a very welcoming waitress who explained the menu and offered a enticing lunch deal I had the pork and my partner the asparagus followed by the Sea bass, which was delicious!! Our waitress very attentive despite... More

My partner and I dined on a Friday evening mid-July. Lovely table, welcome and what looked like a lovely menu. Our first bottle of wine was swapped for another as it tasted more like sherry. Starters were average to good - we had chicken liver parfait and belly of pork. For mains we ordered duck with dauphinoise and lamb with... More

We booked a table for two for the Monday night tapas whilst visiting Norwich. I was slightly apprehensive due to the cost of the meal being £12.95 per person but decided if it was bad, then nothing lost! On arrival we were shown to our table, a window table which was fabulous. We were provided with a (free) bottle of... More

My husband and I had a really lovely night at Farmer Browns, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. I will definitely be coming back - highly recommended.

Thought we'd check out the Monday night Norfolk tapas as it seemed intriguing and good value. I can assure you it is not. We tried 13/15 of the dishes and were not impressed by a single one. There is no creativity or pride in the food. The beef curry and sausage cassoulet were ridiculously basic and the goats cheese salad... More

Went to wine tasting evening, which was lovely. Tapas was not very nice. I was given a saucer to eat it from. The food was soggy, cold and unappetising. Chicken wings tasted as if they had been boiled and calamari wet and tasteless. Certainly will not be returning.

I have recently organised a work dinner at Farmer Browns for 16 – 18 people. We pre-ordered the food from their menu and on the night everything went very smoothly. Very nice, attentive staff, who took into account all that we asked for. The food was delicious – my duck was tender and cooked just right and the chocolate tart... More
