Paolos is in a really good location - eating outside was a real pleasure. The food was different and delicious with very good specials. And the cost of our meal was quite reasonable

We found this restaurant by fluke. We went in and found a big pleasant dining area. With a Pukka Pizza Oven. Real family run business. We ordered the Pizza Napolatanna It was huge and superbly cooked, watch out pizza chains!! This is a real Pizza. We had three visits and ordered the same each time. First class every time. Yesterday... More

Our first visit to this pleasant Italian family-run restaurant was on a Friday lunchtime. We were early diners, the welcome was warm, the atmosphere friendly, the place clean and bright, the service efficient and helpful, and the food good. All the usual Italian dishes are on offer plus a Specials menu which changes regularly. The prices are a little higher... More

We eaten in this restaurants many times on different occasions: lunches on shopping weekends , romantic evening meal, my friend’s birthday party and friend’s wedding reception, few times we brought our friends and family around and were never disappointed. The food was always superb quality; staff were always friendly and attentive, prices are reasonable for the city centre. You cannot... More

We were tempted into Paolo's by the promise of Gluten free options which indeed were many and the waitress well informed and helpful. Our started of bread and olives was fairly basic and on close inspection some of the bread was mouldy. Having eaten most we did not complain and assumed it was an unfortunate oversight though I don't think... More

We hadn't booked, so didn't expect the best table, but when there were quite a few empty ones it was a shame we were stuck in a corner right next to the ladies toilet and below a speaker belting out what sounded like 20 years of Italian Eurovision entries. Our position seemed to make it difficult for the staff to... More

My wife and I thought we treat ourselves to a not too pricey payday Friday dinner out in the city. We had eaten here before a couple of years ago and, for the price, it had been pretty good but not this time! One can often seem to tell how good a place is by the movement of the waiting... More

Always friendly and with good food, freshly cooked, this is a regular stop for us. Seems more of a daytime place somehow, not very romantic, but we're over 50 anyway! :-) Pizzas are huge, maybe a little too oily for my taste but gorgeous anyway! Pasta good. Great value for money. A nice local, and good for shopping/tourists as very... More
