Always a friendly welcome

Always a friendly welcome in this Italian restaurant just off the market place in the centre of the city of Norwich. The menu comprises pizzas and pastas and a changing specials board (salmon and spinach ravioli on this occasion). Pizza bases are some of the nicest and fluffiest I've ever eaten. A... read more

We visited this restaurant whilst on a day trip to Norwich. As we walked in the atmosphere seemed a little strained and the staff were a little too eager. However we decided to give it a go and I have to say the staff were pleasant enough. The food, however, wasn't. I had Taglitelle Al Pollo and the chicken was... More

I am sorry to see this review. I remember you and your daughter from Saturday, my waiting staff came and asked how your meal was and you said everything was fine. We have a very open restaurant and all our staff are very accessible if you had mentioned you were unhappy we would have been more than happy to exchange... More

DO NOT EAT HERE! I had to give it a star to get this review published.. Disgraceful and truly shocking. I took my wife there for her birthday - big mistake. Things like dirty plates & glasses can be overlooked - Being surrounded by the all staff, and screamed at by the owner for having the cheek to point out... More

Having a meal for friends hen night I witnessed the manager scream, yes actually screaming in the face of a couple who made a complaint about the under cooked inedible pizza, which I saw the pizza and I would have complained too! I actually thought the manager was going to assault the couple, the woman was in tears. It was... More

This is my second visit to Paolo's and i was really excited to have a gluten free pizza again but found that they had been removed from the menu due to complaints. I can't imagen what the complaints could have been about! I loved the gluten free pizza! Anyway i had risotto which was amazing and they do still have... More

My friend and I visited at 1.30pm on a Monday in early March, it was a last resort to be honest as the other places we had in mind for lunch were either full or closed. Having never been to Paolo's before we had no idea what to expect but certainly didn't expect it to be as good as if... More

Great tasting Italian food based in Norwich city centre. Friendly and very quick service. I can recommend the cannelloni which tasted great. The prices are reasonable however the deserts at £5.95 I found to be a little on the pricey side. However the sorbet was delicious especially the Bellini flavoured one. If your after Italian food in the centre on... More

I recently visited friends in Norwich and we had dinner at Paolo's. Three of us ordered the same vegetarian pizza and one of us ordered a pasta dish. I am also a coeliac so I needed a gluten free pizza. The pizzas we had were very bland. Each of us felt that we needed to season them to get any... More
