Always a friendly welcome

Always a friendly welcome in this Italian restaurant just off the market place in the centre of the city of Norwich. The menu comprises pizzas and pastas and a changing specials board (salmon and spinach ravioli on this occasion). Pizza bases are some of the nicest and fluffiest I've ever eaten. A... read more

We rang, explaining that we were in a rush, ordered over the phone, walked in, sat down and two perfectly prepared pizzas came to our table, with drinks and the bill. Thanks to this swift service, the train was caught, as well as a lovely lunch enjoyed. We will return for a relaxed evening soon

You must try the Antipasti, I had a Calzone Pizza which was the biggest and tastiest ever! My wife had the oven baked plaice and loved that too. Will definitely go back again. Half the price of Jamie Oliver's Italian Restaurant yet much better in our humble opinion.

Nice roomy restaurant. Attentive, friendly staff. Our waiter recommended the skate special. Glad we went for it as was delicious! Too full for a pudding but the choice was good.

Have visited Paolo's several times now for lunchtime and evening meals. Never disappointed. Had wonderful meal two evenings ago. Staff were attentive and checked all was ok during the meal. For starter we shared a bruschetta- generous portion for two people. Loved the olive oil used which really brought out the flavours in a simple dish. For main my husband... More

We visited this restaurant whilst on a day trip to Norwich. As we walked in the atmosphere seemed a little strained and the staff were a little too eager. However we decided to give it a go and I have to say the staff were pleasant enough. The food, however, wasn't. I had Taglitelle Al Pollo and the chicken was... More

I am sorry to see this review. I remember you and your daughter from Saturday, my waiting staff came and asked how your meal was and you said everything was fine. We have a very open restaurant and all our staff are very accessible if you had mentioned you were unhappy we would have been more than happy to exchange... More

DO NOT EAT HERE! I had to give it a star to get this review published.. Disgraceful and truly shocking. I took my wife there for her birthday - big mistake. Things like dirty plates & glasses can be overlooked - Being surrounded by the all staff, and screamed at by the owner for having the cheek to point out... More

Having a meal for friends hen night I witnessed the manager scream, yes actually screaming in the face of a couple who made a complaint about the under cooked inedible pizza, which I saw the pizza and I would have complained too! I actually thought the manager was going to assault the couple, the woman was in tears. It was... More

This is my second visit to Paolo's and i was really excited to have a gluten free pizza again but found that they had been removed from the menu due to complaints.
