"This is a newly refurbished Wetherspoons pub in Middlesbrough. £1 million refurb. Excellent food - for pub grup - and the drinks are very reasonable. Nicely decorated and big, with lots of comfy chairs and an open fire. Perfect place for a bite after shopping".

Decent pub

Not a bad pub. Always lively and has great atmosphere. Food and drinks are cheap. For me the food is cheap and cheerful but aren't all wetherspoons? I wouldn't go in expecting a slap up meal but the curry nights etc are spot on and the breakfasts are brill

Excellent, friendly staff who are always helpful. Great value for money. We often go for a drink after work or occasionally breakfast or dinner.

Called in for a couple of drinks with friends after a meal out, very friendly pub with a warm welcome and good atmosphere. The drinks were very reasonably priced with a very good selection, they served food but we had just had a meal so it was drinks only.

Great service and freshly cooked food - never fails to impress. The food here is by far the best pub food in Central Middlesbrough with a great variety to choose from.

Lovely scampi meal at lunchtime, easy to find a table and got served quickly. Great value for money - in fact, unbeatable value and tasty food! Plenty of dishes on the menu for vegetarians and vegans, so we go to Wetherspoons quite often. Always a popular choice and with draught Strongbow Dark Fruits at a very reasonable price, will definitely... More

Understandably busy over Xmas but went in twice and both times spent awful amounts of time to get served. Bar is really busy and 2 members of staff are cleaning spirit bottles and fridge doors instead of serving or casually socialising at the end of the bar. Shame as nice pub and some good staff but poorly managed. Final point... More

First time we have visited this bar for a while and I could see why!! Sat outside as nice warm evening waiting for the rest of our group. Glad we didn't drink inside as it was very scruffy and smelt bad. Bit too noisy for us and a lot of bad language. Thankfully we didn't have to wait to long... More

As always a good choice of beers and spirits. Service okay but this is more due to people butting in as opposed to the quality of the service from the staff - why do people seem not to be able to wait till people who are at the bar earlier than them have been served. Prices are good as always... More

Ok so here goes... a traditional breakfast is one of the most popular things to get so why is it so hard to find a good one!? I love a nice breakfast but rarely find a place that has a good one and the main two reasons are 1. Everything on the plate tastes the same and 2. Key ingredients... More
