totally different

I got fed up of curries ages ago...heaving masses of brown/reddish/alarmingly yellow stuff. This is completely different. Lots of medium sized pots of things, made with really interesting spices. and those doza pancakes! I believe they are made from chick pea and lentil flour, or maybe rice flour... read more

This I am sad to say is only our second visit to dosa but I believe it will become a much more frequent haunt for us. As soon as we entered the new restaurant we were greeted in a warm and friendly manner, not overly gushing but as if we were old friends, we were shown to a table, given... More

I had ate at Dosa before but at the previous location. This location is a lot larger and has more of a restaurant feel to it. The decor is authentic and creates a relaxed ambiance. I went with my parents and boyfriend and we were all very pleased with the food. It was quite confusing to order as there as... More

This is clearly not the place to come just for the standard English 'Indian' restaurant experience of curry dish rice and bread. What it offers is genuine South Indian food which is in the main part somewhat different from the above. The menus has expanded slightly since the move to new premises but the quality has certainly been maintained. A... More

This was our first time at this restaurant and we were taken there on a snowy Wednesday night by a friend who had eaten there previously. Apparently the restaurant has recently relocated to the old Yorkshire Bank premises on Linthorpe Road and as a consequence is larger than previously. We were reassured though that there would be no drop in... More

Visited the new restaurant last week and as always we were served delicious, hot, extremely tasty and authentic Indian food. Please don't go here expecting your normal Indian restaurant menu with chicken tikka massala ect the menu is smaller than these places but it really is a case of quality over quantity! It may not be everybody's cup of tea... More

Luckily we didn't listen to the few previous reviews, as I have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite a while. It always had great reviews but strangely the last few haven't been great. we decided to try it tonight on a last minute whim. Though we hadn't booked and arrived at 7pm the manageress showed us straight to... More
