I was in Middlesbrough last Sunday night looking for somewhere for a meal at around 11pm. Not many places open that time of night. We found the Massala open but empty. We were welcomed in by the staff who were very attentive and friendly. Unlike some curry houses the restaurant does lager on draught which is a bonus. We ordered... More

Used to dine in from a long time but gradually the standard of food is reducing.. Had ordered curries and rice, it was the worst ever curry I had in Massala, not sure if the chef is changed but really wouldn't order again. Atmosphere is nice and the waiters are all nice and friendly with excellent service.

The meals arrived promptly and tasted great, there was a mix up on one of the orders meaning one meal didn't arrive with the rest but the staff were... More

5 of us all had different dishes they were all fantastic. Sevice was excellent, friendly. The hot dishes were hot enough, the milder dishes were mild enough. Meat was succulent and tasty. Vegetable pilau rice was lovely. The place was nice and quiet not ear-busting like Akbars. Great value for money.
