Description: Situated on Walworth Road, La Luna is a real treat if youre looking for authentic Italian food and a welcoming atmosphere. This small family-run restaurant is popular with South London locals who make the short trip from Elephant and Castle and Camberwell to take advantage of the modestly priced menu. The rustic dcor and friendly service makes it an ideal setting for lunch with friends or mid-week dinners with the family. On the menu, there are classic Italian pastas and delicious crisp-based pizzas that the kids will love. Popular dishes include the sirloin steak in a red wine and mushroom sauce; and the seafood risotto.

Is not the first time I've eaten in this restaurant. Overal is a good place to gathered with family and friends and have nice Italian food. This is a family bussiness and indeed the quality of food and prices is really good. I do recommend this place.

My husband and I live nearby and go here almost every week. The pizzas are AMAZING and the Tony and his team extremely friendly. It's what I'd call a proper Italian. Cosy, not fancy... And totally focused on good food. There are always Italian people dining (good sign, right?) and theres a warm ambience and sense of community. Typically Italian... More

This family run Italian restaurant has been in business for several decades and the decor probably hasn't changed much since it was opened. However, it serves up absolutely delicious authentic Italian food, great pasta, fresh baked pizzas cooked in the traditional way, all the standard Italian dishes as well as a good range of daily specials. I have been eating... More

This place is special. Everything is spot on, from service to price to atmosphere to food. The pasta is utterly delicious, and always cooked just how it should be. Miles better than anything you get from Jamie's Italian. A charming chap at front of house always welcomes you with a handshake and a smile, not to mention his good humour.... More

Yesterday (2nd Oct 2014) was our 49th Wedding Anniversary We wanted to go to London to see the Poppies at The Tower of London and visit the Imperial War Museum. We 'Googled' a restaurant near the Museum and it came up with various items. We plumped for La Luna Italian Restaurant at 380 Walworth Road. We found something 'homely' and... More

We have been going here for a while now and the pizzas are the best in town, its a great neighbourhood restaurant, no frills, great welcome and great service, we do go for the pizza so can't comment on too much else, though have tried the mussels and the carbonnara and the obligatory tiramisu which were all very good, wine... This used to be my local Italian when I lived in London. Now I have to content myself with more infrequent visits whenever I come to the capital. Even with the vast array of eateries London has, I always try to fit in at least one meal here on my visit. The set menu is excellent value, and the Caesar... More
