The plates are big, I went there for lunch. The food was good ( is not the best food of your life) but is very good for the price that they charge you. I will recommend the visit if you are close by

Wonderful breakfast - my daughter had the 20 item breakfast choice and chose 9 items on the hugest plate I've seen! I had bacon, eggs and bubble - all washed down with the bottomless cup house coffee - which is beautiful - don;t bother with the fancy coffees. Lovely, friendly and attentive staff brought our breakfasts swiftly and even brought... More

Apart from the screaming kids everywhere I enjoyed a great brekkie at maggie's. The ladies serving were lovely and the menu was good; pancakes were well cooked though a little small and granola and yogurt was nicely done too. Stylish place as well- good fun

Forget "authentic Irish pub" 32 on the high street, if you want real Irish hospitality come to Maggie's where the matriarch of the café will see to it that toast and tea are at the table before you can say leprechaun. Staff run around endlessly in a symphony of barked instruction and half heard insult under Maggie's direction, delivering a... More

I had a burger which was excellent - lovely meaty taste, tasty fries with it and mushrooms. Service very good. However, my partner had a chicken salad and said it was one of the worst she had tasted - salad to meat ratio too high, tasteless leaves. I think the conclusion is stick to their burgers, etc which they seem... More

You have to love Maggie as she runs round checking your bottomless coffee cup is filled. I love the breakfasts here and its always busy. You can sit outside of the weather is nice. So happy my new home has a great local cafe.

Admittedly we were there quite early for dinner and it was empty. Wait staff still treated it as empty even after we arrived! Friendly, but slow and inattentive. Service was quick but then they were all gone, never to be seen again. Menu is mainly breakfast items and burgers. My burger was OK, spoiled by a sweet tomato relish (not... More

Good choices on the menu. Traditional decor for a cafe (table cloths and mats). Reasonable prices and definitely value for money. Maggie's charming personality has created a joyful atmosphere whenever I visited. This is clearly evident in the caring attitudes of her staff. Your cuppa is never empty - she would never allow it! Long may this cafe stand.
