I love it!

Good, hearty, Irish produce that is cooked well and delivered with bottomless tea and a side show! I mean, where else would you be going? I'm married to a Lewisham native and I took him there for the first time, last week! We both loved it! The 'make your own' type breakfast is such a good idea... read more

Lovely looking cafe but sadly the waiters made this the worst breakfast experience I have ever had! Apart from this sweet Irish lady making you feel welcome, I couldn't believe how the rest of the staff acted, the White male waiter came to our table bitting his finger nails while we were asking him about the food, even after repeating... If you are a glutton for punishment and have read some of my previous reviews, you will no doubt observe that I often start off describing the locale of the cafe, restaurant or public house. So in line with this theme, I wish to start by descibing that Lewisham town centre at this moment in time resembles one giant building... More

Small British fare and great portions, such as, guinea hen, kidney pie, but got the special of Lamb pie. Menu selectin off a chalk board, very quaint

Bacon and toast were wonderful. But the sausage was terrible. The most important thing was that the desk calculated falsely our bill. And I ordered tape water, they brought me mineral water...I really do not want to go there a second time although it is next to my house.

If you like awful food and service then Maggie's is for you. Tea was a strange colour and even odder taste. Beans on toast cold. One piece of bacon crispy the other barely cooked. Cheap sauce poured into Heinz and H P sauce bottles. Eastern European waitress miserable. Truly terrible experience.

Maggie's Cafe and Restaurant is a Lewisham institution - and the ideal place to neutralise a hangover . The fiery tempered eponymous owner strikes fear into all the serving staff, whilst making all customers feel at home. The only downside is that it isn't open on Sundays. The place: Maggie's is a busy traditional London cafe (or should that be... More

We are regular visitors to Maggie's and absolutely love it. The price is very reasonable considering you get unlimited toast ad tea/coffee refills! The food although maybe not gourmet is the best way to start the morning if you want a hearty traditional fry-up. The create your own is our favourite choice. Six items or 12 you pay the same...
