Family run authentic Italian

Went for a quick last minute dinner during the tennis fortnight. Adorable decor. Friendly staff, had a real family vibe to it whilst still being professional. Yummy Italian food, all the classics and some different dishes on the menu. Good size portions, refreshing treat from the regular chain... read more

I have visited Al Forno's in New Malden and Kingston in the past and thought I would try the one in Wimbledon. First impressions it was a nice place and looked rustic. But as the saying goes never judge a book by its cover. After having made a reservation the staff were bemused to see us there, no welcome at... More

The food in this restaurant was some of the best Italian food that we've eaten. There are plenty of places to eat in the area, however, if you don't choose this one, then more fool you! Highly recommended!

A surly and unhelpful waitress served us. She clearly needs to go to charm school. Food was ok but when it came to paying the bill the waitress said that the 10% gratuity was only in respect of parties of six and more but the menu did not state that. We will not be returning.

Very nice restaurant! We always get a medium pizza which is enough for two, and the house white wine which is lovely! The staff is always good. All in all a brilliant restaurant and a lovely non expensive treat

Great start. We turned up unannounced with 8 people and they were completely accommodating of finding us a free table upstairs. Food was great as always. Then came the bill and the complete attitude change from the waitress. We needed to split the bill and it was as if we had become a massive inconvenience to her. She seemed abrupt... More

Booked a table for 3. Arrived on time and was given a table by a staff member. After 30 minutes some other member starts asking if we booked, could not find the booking in his list, argues as if we never booked and tells us to leave in an hour. Pathetic staff manners. Avoid.

I live locally to this restaurant. I have visited twice and it was terrible twice. My girlfriend and I went and were disappointed with the service on several levels. 1. The plates and glasses were visibly dirty with bits of dried food and were exchanged for equally dirty ones 2. It was incredible hard get a refill of water (we... More

I visited this restaurant mid-evening August 2015 with my 20-year-old American granddaughter. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty full but we managed to find a table by the window. The atmosphere was lively and very much in keeping with the surroundings. The service was excellent and the food good. I shall certainly return as this part of Wimbledon is... More

Went with my partner for a evening meal. The place always seems really busy and it can be quite tight space wise but they extend to outside where you are in a covered area which is nice as it was hot in the restaurant that evening. Good choice of food, the house red was nice. Found the food to be... More
