this was our second visit on a Saturday night. The place was very busy and the thing you notice when you arrive is the noise. Probably lucky we had reserved a table. The drinks took a long time to arrive and one meal came a long time before the others. The food. We could not believe the size of the... More

The staff at Al Forno need some training in how to deal with the clients. First of all, some of the staff were singing and dancing whilst the radio was on just meters away from my table making noisy. Secondly, we ordered drinks and mains and the guy who was taking note, he was thinking more in the next song... More

The food is always very tasty and a great sized portion. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and always busy. Only thing I find is there are so many tables cramed in, you cant really relax on a weekend, so go during the week in an eve or for lunch.

We came in as soon as the restaurant opened (it closes at 3.30pm and reopens at 5.30pm) and were pleasantly greeted by the staff. Within minutes the place was packed and the staffed remained friendly and efficient. We chose gnocci for a starter which came almost instantly with complementary free bread (always a win) and our mains came shortly after.... More

The staff at Al Forno were amazingly friendly, super efficient and extremely patient with our loud table of 30 on a busy Friday night for a birthday celebration. They were quick to find additional chairs when we needed them and were really speedy with both ordering and bringing out food and drinks. The pizzas are incredible, a medium size easily... More

Staff here are brilliant. Have been coming for years and had a number of milestone birthdays here and it just doesnt seem to falter. The food is great, staff hilarious, drinks reasonably priced and just a great meal! Will be back

Don't listen to all the bad reviews being said I came here last night on a whim and couldn't believe what I had found! The service was amazing, starters came out literally 5 mins after ordering despite it not being quiet! Then the pizza came and Jesus it was HUGE it could feed a family!! The place was quirky and... I visited Al Forno as part of a group of ten for a Birthday celebration a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. When we arrived, one of the staff had crossed our booking off already and given our table to another group. We were offered a table in the "outside"/under canape area but due ti it blowing a gale... We came here for a lunch. Ordered pasta for the kids, a salad and a steak. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive. Okay after complaining we were offered a round of drinks but the excuses were feeble. Food was fine but service was awful!!

Waiters seem confused and are not allocated to one table so different waiters always ask you if you have ordered your main, have you ordered drinks multiple times, a little annoying to be disturbed. Pizzas good but others are average to be honest. More of a family restuarant than a nice meal for two
