Great Pre Theatre Lunch

Arrived with a group for lunch. Nice welcome and varied menu with plenty of Veggie options. Good and reasonably priced wine list and seating, although a tad tight on the larger tables. When the dishes arrived the salmon and pasta dishes in particular impressed and there were plenty of other... read more

We enjoyed a very good meal before going across to Wimbledon Theatre to see Car Man. They were very understanding of time schedule and produced the food and drink quickly. The only disappointment is that they do not do a 'Pre Theatre Menu' deal, but we will definitely visit again.

Great experience, we loved the food, the service and the whole atmosphere. The pizzas are massive and at a great price. The service is quick and the staff friendly. Make sure you book in advance, because it's very busy especially on the weekends. I had my birthday party and everyone was happy and satisfied with the wine and the food.... More

Title said it all, I had better Italian food than at Al Forno. Was there for a work due in December which we had booked a week before but when we arrived, there was no reservation done. The staff was not really chatty or helpful. We were sat upstairs and it was so loud we could barely hear other. The... More

Very popular local Italian restaurant , recommend booking a table upstairs. Has a real buzz and is quite noisy so wouldn't recommend for a romantic meal! Pizzas are amazing and great value, the small is more than enough for one or you can share a massive one! Good choice of pasta, meat and fish. Waiting staff very efficient and work... More

We entered the restaurant and there were scooters and pushchairs all over the place and I had to step over them. I know this couldn't be helped because this is a family restaurant but any person who may of had mobility issues this would have been a problem. We sat down. We waited for sometime for a waiter to serve... More

Very pleasant family atmosphere and convenient for Wimbledon Theatre. The "specials" are for decoration only. A small pizza is enough for two average people. The seafood is frozen. The pizza bases are thin and tough rather than doughey. However this is not at all a bad place, the staff are hard working and genuine. Neither by any stretch of the... More

I have never been dissapointed with a trip to Al Forno - only when I can't get a seat because they are all booked up! Make sure you book in advance so you arn't dissapointed. While I haven't tried their pastas, their pizzas are to die for. Huge servings - I would recommend sharing! Generous with the toppings and overall... More

We have used this place many times over the years and have never been disappointed. Good food , great service and a friendly welcome. Al Forno is always busy , especially on occasions like Mothers Day , which was the reason for our visit this time. This means the atmosphere is lively but the service never drops. Highly recommended for... More
