Quite frankly a disappointment. It looked like a nice cosy little restaurant and what the other customers were eating looked good - usually a good sign when trying a new restaurant. However it took ages for the first course to arrive (not a bad thing in itself if the food is being cooked fresh) but when it did arrive (we... More

Found this restaurant by chance when looking for a proper lunch in the middle of a cafe society area. It did not disappoint. I had the chicken stuffed with spinach and sundried tomatoes with a side order of grilled vegetables and my companion had a pizza, which was enormous. The service was excellent despite the fact the restaurant was full... More

I've visited this restaurant twice in the past 2 years and I can honestly say it is one of the nicest meals I have ever had. The service was fantastic and the food even better. I'm not sure which Pizza i had but it had parma ham and artichokes on tiop. Not only is the food delicious, the pizza was... More

Happened upon Da Spago about 8pm on a Tuesday night - great location near South Ken tube. Not massively busy but great atmosphere, probably provided by a table of 20+ Italians - embassy night out maybe (-; Lovely baked mellanzine dish to start which we both shared and then we went for pasta and pizza. I had the diavola (bit... More

There's everything here that you could ever want from a small restaurant. So handy for the tube. The service was a bit erratic where getting a bottle of water was concerned but we got there in the end and it didn't spoil anything. Delicious risotto, pizzas and pasta.

We were in the are yesterday and there are simply oodles of eating places around here, but we just did not fancy any of them. We walked right around Exhibition Rd and there were just so restaurants serving the heavy tourist traffic that goes to see the museums. We were a bit glum, but by walking just a few yards... More

Underwhelming, that is of course if you had any expectations at all. My wife and i could not understand why we had been recommended the place. The food was equally simple and not expensive. There is no atmosphere to the place and the lighting poor. Some fellow with his napkin tucked into his shirt seemed to be enjoying himself eating... More

A short walk from South Kensington tube brought us to this buzzing, informal little restaurant. My butternut and gorgonzola risotto was creamily tasty and not too rich. The portion of tiramisu I ordered was huge, though I did manage to eat it all as the texture was so light. Service was friendly, efficient and not overpowering.

Me and my husband ate here a couple of times a short while ago. On both occasions we had travelled up to see concert at the Royal Albert Hall and this restaurant is very conveniently placed for a meal if that is a venue you are attending. That said, it is right by the V & A, science museum, natural... More

We visited London last week and stayed nearby and heartily recommend this restaurant. We had the risotto and veal shank and hot chocolate souffle one evening whic were standouts. The service was friendly and the restaurant itself is small, charming and rustic on a side street close to the So Kensington tube. The front of the restaurant is open to... More
